Steve POV:

The first day back of school was a bit weird considering I am pretty sure I had been off more than a month by now but my day suddenly got better when I saw my redhead come into view. Gosh my redhead. What the hell am I thinking. I could never get a girl like her.

Bucky- welcome back bud!

Steve- Thanks! Has it been boring without me?

Bucky- not really Natasha's got a hell of a personality. I think I am gonna go for it.

Steve- oh cool.

Bucky - You alright?

Steve - Yep ready for football tryouts?

Bucky- when am I not. See ya around punk.

Steve - Jerk.

Okay now I had no chance Bucky was literally a lady's man. Everyone said yes to him. I mean I know he has been sad lately because Wanda is dating some guy called vision but I knew she liked him and I though he did too. Anyway I walked into first period which was biology. And was motioned over by Natasha who was sitting next to Bucky and Wanda. Gosh this is gonna be awkward. I sit down next to Wanda who is opposite Bucky. So I was opposite Natasha.

- Right class today please can you get into pairs we are doing heart dissection one person in your pair will come and get a pair of scissors, a poking needle, a scalpel and a pair of tweezers. Then sit down and wait for further instructions.

I am pretty sure my face went pail at the thought of dissecting a heart because Natasha was laughing at me.

Natasha - are you okay there Rogers?

Steve- ummm yeah.

Natasha- are you scared?

Steve- what no!

Natasha- aww I will go with you Steve.

Steve- yayyy...  I said sarcastically earning a kick from under the table. While she was laughing. Wanda and Natasha swapped place so we were next to eachother as partners. I got up and walked over to get the utensils since I definitely wasn't touching a heart just yet. A few moments later a heart was shoved millimetres away from my face and I screamed.

- Steve please do not scream!

I went bright red while Natasha was laughing hysterically.

Natasha- Give me your hand.

Steve- what why I am not going anywhere near that thing.

Natasha- jeez Steve man up just touch it before I make you.

I slowly walked over to the tray with the heart on in and started automatically gagging at the sight. Nat grabbed my hand as I started trying to walk away and made me touch it.
It was slimy and squishy, I quickly retreated but accidentally knocked Natasha in the stomach making her fall onto me. I grabbed her waist and pushed her towards the heart which she quickly picked up and held Infront of me making me jump back and fall over my chair. I quickly got up and pretended it never happened, looking over to Natasha who was in tears from laughing so much.

Steve- Nat put it down!

Natasha- Make me Rogers.

I picked her up by the waist and carried her back to the desk while she was still laughing. Yes I was used to this stuff in the army but it was different. I took the heart off of her and chucked it down onto the tray and made 2 cuts down the right and left atrium. Natasha looked surprised but I still let go afterwards.

Steve- there I have don't my bit now you can do yours.

Natasha- You didn't even touch it that much.

Steve- I have my ways Romanoff.

Natasha- fine I very proud of you Rogers... She said sarcastically.

Steve-well thank you ma'am. I said back giving her a boyish grin. Which also earned me a light punch on the shoulder. Nat moved Infront of me and took over telling me what was happening so I could still pass an upcoming exam. She did it so easily compared to me who would freak out every 5 seconds. She is perfect in my eyes. She is strong, brave and has her own opinions she also respects people for being them. I just wish I had a chance. The good thing is that the incidence that happened has made us become much closer, but now that Bucky has his eyes on her I don't think we will be ever together in that way.

She looked back at me with a worried expression and I smiled back knowing that I had just zoned out a little. Gosh what was she doing to me.

-You all have 5 minutes left then I will judge the best heart dissection. The best will get chocolate.

Steve- Nat we have to win now.

Natasha- wow at the mention of chocolate you suddenly come alive again.

Steve- ITS CHOCOLATE who wouldn't?

Nat- wow your such a kid.

Steve- oh well you still love me anyways.

Natasha- Yeah of course who would like you otherwise.

I looked at her and made a hurt face which she just laughed at and pulled me into a hug.

Natasha- just kidding.

Steve- I know...

She looked up from the hug and her eyes met mine. She quickly turned away trying to hide the blush that appeared on her face. I was actually surprised I didn't but oh well. I walked over and cleared up our working area to gain extra points and turned around to give her a hi five which she returned.

Steve-We did it.

Natasha- I think it's more like I did it.

Steve- whoa I cut it.

Natasha- and touched it for five seconds. She said laughing.

Steve- fine you did it. But if we win can I have some of the chocolate.

Natasha- fine. Of course.

Steve- yay!

Natasha gave me a sarcastic look then broke into laughter as we took out our chairs and sat down again waiting for the teacher to come and inspect our masterpiece.

- wow guys for someone who screamed about 5 times during the practical yours is the best so Steve and Natasha here is your chocolate.

Steve- thank you miss.

I took the chocolate bar out of the teachers hand and ran out of the class with Natasha on my tail. I ran into a cupboard and tried to lock it behind me but she slipped in and took half of the chocolate and gave me the other half but not without laughing first.

She turned to go out again when I grabbed her arm. She looked at me weirdly but then I remembered I had to tell her something.

Steve- Nat waist I have to tell you something.

Natasha- are you okay?

Steve- yes of course. But we'll basically you no when I was in hospital.

Natasha- Yes I don't think I would ever no remember that.

Steve- well even thought I was in a coma... Well...ummm

Natasha- your starting to worry me Steve.

Steve- Well I could still hear everything, which means I heard what you said.

Without saying anything she ran out of the cupboard and ran to the lunch hall. I tried to call her name and run after her but I soon lost her. I hated myself for not saying anything back but also I had to tell her because she deserved to know.
