Quote for the day
"Nobody dies a virgin, life fucks us all."
She woke up slowly, feeling something soft against her lips. It was Sean, showering her with gentle kisses, trying to rouse her from her sleep.
"Honey, wake up, we're here," he murmured, his voice is husky from sleep.
She smiled as she opened her eyes, meeting his gaze. He was beaming at her. She realized she was in a bed, surrounded by a strange, beautiful room.
"Where are we?" she asked, her voice still thick with sleep. The last thing she remembered was being in Sean's car.
"Look behind you, hon," he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
She turned and gasped. The room had a transparent roof, revealing a breathtaking view of the deep blue ocean, stretching out before them.
"Do you like it?" Sean asked, his voice soft.
She shook her head, a giddy smile spreading across her face. "No," she started, "I love it!"
She looked around, taking in the details. The room was a small cottage, but it felt like a haven. Thick white curtains surrounded them, creating a sense of privacy, except for the side facing the ocean. The sky was a fiery orange, signaling the approaching sunset.
"Beautiful," she whispered, her eyes fixed on the ocean, mesmerized by the fiery colors of the sky.
"Indeed," Sean agreed, his gaze meeting hers. She blushed, feeling a sudden rush of warmth as his soulful eyes held hers.
She bit her lip, her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't help but feel a little nervous, but in a good way. He gently caressed her cheek, leaning closer.
His lips were mere inches from hers when her stomach let out a loud growl.
"Oh my God!" she groaned, embarrassed.
Sean chuckled, his laughter a warm melody. "My baby is hungry," he said, placing a light kiss on her lips. "Wait here, I'll cook us something."
He left the room, leaving her alone with her thoughts and the stunning view. She tried to follow him with her eyes, but the thick curtains blocked her view. She looked around the cottage, admiring the small glass table and the four cozy grey sofas.
"Where are we?" she wondered aloud. This place was unlike any beach she'd ever seen.
She was about to get out of bed when she heard a woman's voice, sharp and demanding.
"BABY SEAN!" she screamed, and the curtain was pulled back.
The woman stared at her, her eyes narrowed, her expression cold. "And who in the world are you?" she asked, her voice dripping with disdain.
She was about to answer when Sean entered the room, carrying a tray laden with food. The aroma of the food was intoxicating, making her stomach growl again.
"SEAN!" the woman cried, rushing towards him and clinging to his arm. She frowned, annoyed by her behavior. The woman was practically hanging off him, and she was worried she might drop the food.
Was it the food that was making her irritated, or was it the fact that this woman was clinging to her fiancé?
"Kristin, please let go of me," Sean said, his voice cool and distant.
The woman reluctantly released her grip, and she couldn't help but smirk. Serves her right.
Sean placed the tray on the table, then turned to her, his eyes filled with warmth. He gently helped her stand up, his touch sending shivers down her spine.
"What brings you here, Tin?" Sean asked the woman, his voice is still cold.
The woman, who had been giving her a hostile look, instantly softened her expression when Sean addressed her. She looked like a meek lamb, her demeanor completely changed.
"Well, I really miss you, Baby Sean," she said, her voice sweet and innocent. "You only just visited us again."
She was a good actress, she thought, watching her performance. She could easily pass for a drama queen.
"Are you satisfied now? You've seen me already. You can leave," Sean said, his tone leaving no room for argument. He started peeling a shrimp for her.
"Who is she? Your new flavor of the month?" the woman asked, a smirk playing on her lips. She felt her blood boil. The woman was trying to provoke her.
"This is my-" Sean began, but she cut him off.
"Fiancée," she said, her voice firm and confident. "I am his fiancée."
The woman's eyes widened in disbelief. "You? Seriously?" she scoffed.
"Yes, and yes," she said, her voice ringing with pride. "Me, and only me. There's no one else."
"Is this true, Sean?" she asked, turning to him, but he ignored her, his gaze fixed on her. A playful twinkle danced in his eyes.
"Yes, indeed," Sean said, his voice laced with amusement. "Unlimited? So go away for a while. Can't you see that we're about to eat here? If you don't have the guts to respect us, at least have some respect for the food in front of us."
The woman stormed out of the room, leaving her and Sean alone. She couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph.
She was about to start eating when she noticed Sean staring at her, a smile playing on his lips.
"What?" she asked, her voice laced with confusion.
He didn't answer, but pulled her close and kissed her deeply. It was a passionate kiss, full of longing and desire. She responded instinctively, her body melting into his embrace.
"Feisty," he murmured against her lips, his voice husky with desire.
He was about to kiss her again when her stomach growled, reminding her of her hunger. They both laughed, the sound echoing through the cottage.
They ate their meal, Sean feeding her, his touch gentle and tender. She couldn't help but feel a warmth spread through her.
After they finished eating, she wanted to go for a swim in the ocean, but Sean insisted it was too late. He said she might get sick, and they could go tomorrow.
They spent the rest of the evening cuddling, whispering secrets and sharing dreams. She asked him about the woman who had interrupted their dinner. He explained that she was his childhood friend, and that they were at her family's rest house. His grandparents had lived here, but they had moved to the U.S. His parents were the only ones left in the Philippines, running their company.
He answered all her questions, his voice soothing and reassuring. She felt a sense of peace and contentment, knowing that she had found a safe haven in his arms.
She wished this perfect moment would last forever, but she knew it wouldn't. One day, he would find the person who was truly meant for him.
But for now, she would savor every moment, every touch, every stolen kiss. For now, she was his, and he was hers. And for now, that was all that mattered.
For now.
