Chapter Twenty: Final Chapter

Years later
Elena’s P.O.V
All three of our children are finally grown adults and they are living on their own as they are all married and Sebastian and I now have six grandchildren, Josie Has two kids, Rose had three and Hayden has one and we’re all a big happy family and I couldn’t ask for anything else that’s better than this. Sebastian and I decided to invite the kids and their kids over for dinner tonight so that we could spend time together since we haven’t been able to because Josie, Rose and Hayden have been busy with their jobs and the kids and we thought it would be nice to have a little family time together so I decided to start cooking dinner for all of us and heard Sebastian walking in to help, “do you need help with anything” he asked as he as he kissed my cheek and I smiled at the action, “yes please, do you mind cutting up the Carrots, Celery, and Chicken, while I start the broth part of the stew” I said to him and started cutting everything and as we were half way through making dinner I heard people walking through the door and I went to check to see Josie, Rose and Hayden with their husbands and wife and kids and Sebastian and I hugged them all and had a good conversation about how life has been since we last saw one another a few months ago. And after a while we all started eating and continued to have a good time spending time with each other as a family until it was getting late and it was time for them to start heading home. For the rest of the night Sebastian and I watched T.V together before we went up to bed until Sebastian broke the silence as he noticed that I started to fall asleep as we were cuddling each other, “are you getting tired” he said and I nodded and we both decided to head up to bed after turning off the T.V.
The next morning I woke and saw that Seb wasn’t there until I smelt food and went downstairs to see Sebastian cooking and I walked up to him and Kissed his cheek as I wrapped my arms around his waist as he did the same around my shoulders and kissed the top of my head, “always such a gentleman” I said as he let out a chuckle, “I was going to bring you breakfast in bed, but your already awake and out of bed” he said and I smiled as he finished up with breakfast and we both went upstairs and decided to eat it in bed as we watched T.V for a while and we decided to go out for a little bit to get some fresh air and just spend the day together. After a few hours, we saw Rose and Tom and their three kids at the local coffee shop, “hey you to, what are you guys up to” I heard Sebastian say, “we decided to take the kids to the park earlier today, and now we wanted to get something to eat and probably head home after” Tom said and we all decided to sit down together and talk about what we’re planning on doing for the rest of the day, and I noticed that the kids have fallen asleep and Rose and Tom decided to head home for the rest of the day and so did we and as soon as we got home I started to feel dizzy and Sebastian noticed and before he could do anything, I passed out. When I woke up I saw that I was in a hospital room and as I turned to my side I saw Sebastian sitting in the chair next to me and I noticed that it looked like he had been crying, “Seb honey, what's wrong, why am I in the hospital, I mean I get that I past out but…” I said until I was cut off by Sebastian, “your in here because I couldn’t wake you up for an hour, so I called 9-1-1 and they brought you here and to be honest I don’t know if I can tell you the rest” he said as he started tearing up, “Seb, tell me what’s wrong, your worrying me” I said as he grabbed my hand and squeezed it gently, “honey, they said you have cancer and they said that you might only have a year or two to live” he said and I was shocked about what he told me and I thought about it for quite some time until the doctors came in, “hello Mrs. Stan, glad to see that your awake” the doctor said and I gave him a small smile and he told me about what might happen from now on now that I have cancer, after a few hours of being in the hospital, they finally told me that I was able to go home and that we did and I decided to go upstairs to lay down and turned on the T.V we had in our room before I did.

Two Years Later
Sebastian’s P.O.V
It’s been two years and I can’t believe she’s gone and today was her funeral and I was getting ready along with everyone else and when I was done, I met the kids and their kids out where we were having the funeral and we all sat down so it can start and when it did, all I did was look down because of how sad and upset I’ve been since we found about her having cancer and the I felt Rose and Josie put their hands on my back and began rubbing their hands back and forth and I started crying as the pastor continued on. After about an hour or so the funeral had ended, I went back to my place, I took off my jacket and slumped on the couch as I turned on the T.V as I heard a knock on the door and I went to see that it was Chris, Anthony, Elena’s friend Maria, My kids and grandkids were here and I had a small smile on my face and let them in, “we thought that you shouldn’t be alone” my mom said and I gave her a hug and then everyone else joined in a group hug and I started crying harder, “I miss her, I miss her so much” I said as my voice was somewhat muffled, “we miss her to dad, we all do” I hear Hayden say and I looked over to him and smiled and we all broke away from the hug and we all sat down and talked about all the memories we had with Elena, “I remember, when you couldn’t take your eyes off of her when she was at the premiere for Avengers: Endgame, and I had to force you to talk to the girl” I head Anthony say and we all laughed and we continued talking for the rest of the night until we all started getting tired and most of them left except for Chris, Anthony, Josie, Rose and Hayden as they decided to stay the night. 

Third Person’s P.O.V
Since Elena’s funeral, Josaphine, Rosanne and Hayden and their kids spent as much time as they could with their father/Grandfather Sebastian and it kept his mind off of the death of his wife for as long as they could while they were with them and he was happy every time they came over to spend time with him and took him out to places almost everyday and Anthony and Chris would join them whenever they could and that also made them happy to see a smile on Sebastian’s face whenever they came and that’s all he’d ever asked for, he wouldn’t trade something like spending time with friends and family for anything in the world and he loved his kids and Grandkids for who they were and was glad when they got a chance to spend every minute of his life with them until his very last breath.
