15 years later...

“Yes, this is the dining area. You have a long six seater table. With a bright light above.”

“This house is wonderful. I want this.”

My eyes widened. Is this for real? After showing this house to hundreds he want this?

“Sir, pardon?”

He smiled at me.

“I want to buy this house. It’s very nice and the surrounding is peaceful. I will buy this.”

“When, sir?”

“Today.”

I jumped in excitement. After all my hard work someone is interested. Thank, God!

“I’ll just fix your documents and everything and your ready to get this house. I’ll do it fast so you can enjoy it with your family.”

He smiled and thanked me. As he bade goodbye,  I can’t help but to cry. This house is already sold out.

This house brought millions of memories and pain. I guess, this is the end of the chapter.

Another new beginning will start after that man bought this house.

I went inside my office and started working with the documents so he could get it right away.

I was singing while working when I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in.”

“Miss Snow?”

I looked up seeing Ezekiel. How I missed this guy. It has been, fifteen years, I think? Don’t think wrong but, I still love him.

My love for him never changed. I love him, as a friend now. I have my own family, I already moved years ago. Since the day I made a mistake.

I really want to hug him after these years of longing and apologize my mistakes, but I kept my poise. I won’t drop my formality, we’re still in my office.

“Yes, sir. May I help you?”

He laughed, he never changed. He’s still the cute guy who stayed by my side in times I was hopeless romantic.

“Are you free? Jade’s been looking for you these days.”

Jade hasn’t contacted me also. I heard they got married and had a son. But, their son was an accidental baby so they got forced to marry.

I don’t know if they developed their feelings? But I hope so, they suit each other anyway.

Ezekiel and I rode the same taxi. I was confused when he said to the driver we’re dropping by Mental Hospital.

Is he working here? My gosh, I knew nothing about them now. We hardly talk because my we’ve been busy.

I roamed my eyes inside the hospital. There are adults and senior citizens assisted by some nurses. There are also children and teens.

I somehow pity them. Their families merely care them, probably because of their condition. Luckily, they found a family, not by blood but by heart here in the hospital.

I followed Ezekiel. We stopped in a room, he knocked on the door and the nurses opened it.

I gasped in horror. My tears fell in longing, pain, pity, regret and guilt.
