Reaching up at the cabinet to get the box that Jennie wanted me to get when suddenly something fell on the floor near my foot. I look down to see what it is just to see another box, but a small one. Bending down to pick it up I furrowed my brows in curiosity about what's the inside of this box because I've never seen this before. Looking at my back to see if their is someone at my back before opening it. None. So I immediately open it and gasp to see our promise ring and the note that I gave to Jennie back then. Shaking my head as I remember on how idiot I was back then.
I reach for the ring and read the note as I felt myself cringed on how stupid I was while laughing at my thoughts. Seeing this ring and note reminds me of the dramas that happened to our lives. From how Jennie and I met and on how we managed to get away those bad things that happened to our lives, on how we forgave to the day that Jennie proposed to me four days ago after she got released from the hospital.
The day that I heard the news that Jennie got accident I felt my whole world fall apart, blaming myself to why Jennie got accident. I really thought I will lose her. Luckily Jennie's friends was there telling me that Jennie will be mad if I'll blame it on me. And also the incident made me realize that my life will not be complete without Jennie. So I made up my mind and made a decision not to leave the country and stay at Jennie and to my kid's side even if Jennie will push me away but that was what I thought.
The pair of an arms that slowly wrap around me brought me back into my sense. Smelling to the familiar scent that engulfed through my nostril brought a smile into my lips.
"Did you found it?" Jennie, my wife ask me from behind. We both got married a month ago after she proposed to me. Yes, both of us can't live without each other that's why we both made a decision and immediately settle down. Turning my body around to face her. I kiss her forehead first before answering.
"Yup and also I found this, didn't know that you kept this." Jennie reach the small box and softly smile on it.
"The inside of this box was the reminder of how we fought every challenges that we face from the past that's why I keep this and you're the one who gave this to me that's why it's a treasure for me." Jennie said while tracing her fingers on the small box.
"Glad that we both still end up together after what happened." I said while swaying us softly. Jennie hummed then wrap her arm's around me for a hug.
"Well what can I say the great Lisa Manoban here can't live without me." Jennie reponse proudly making me let out a small giggle.
"You can't also live without me though, you even got panicked whenever I'm not around you for a second." I replied while wiggling my brows. Jennie then slap my side but not too hard and roll her eyes to me while trying to get out of my arm but I tighten my hug to her so she won't able to get free.
"Because other girls immediately surround theirselves to you. Can't help but to get mad whenever someone want some attention to my woman." I can't help but to smile widely at her respond. After all this year's she's still the territorial Jennie that I know.
"Well, at this age can't blame them though, you got a hottest wife here." I said while giving her a post.
"You're so full of yourself Manoban."
"Who are you referring? You are also a Manoban, nini" I said teasingly.
"Duh" she said and was about to go out to the room but before she could go further I quickly reach for her and give her a back hug. I felt her lean on me.
"No need to worry my nini, no one can have me except you. And you know that they're nothing compared to you and I am already contented to have you." I said lovingly then softly kiss her temple. Before Jennie could utter a word our youngest son interrupt us.
"Gosh, that speech was too corny it makes me cringe." Louie our third child said. Three years after we get married Jennie announced that she is pregnant with our third child named Louie. So basically we have three children first is the twin Leo and Lily Jane now is Louie.
Unlike Leo, Louie is the type of guy who like books. He's also a introvert like his sister Lily but Louie is more introvert. A simple book can make him happy like her aunt Yeri
"Aw come on son, I was so much like you back then but in a different way don't worry time will come you'll talk corny things for your future wife." I replied making him shivered.
"I prefer locking myself in a room for a year and read some books." He response then reach for the big box that Jennie asked me to get earlier. Jennie shakes her head then cross her arms above her chess.
"He really look like you." Jennie said while pinching the bridge of my nose
"Well except the part where he didn't interact much with other people and a bookworm like your sister." I response while caressing her cheek you can tell that Jennie is aging by how her skin look like but still she manage to took care of herself and look more attractive even if we age. But no matter what Jennie look like she's still the most beautiful woman I have ever met.
For over 20 years of being married Jennie and I manage to find ways to make our marriage life stronger everyday. Even though we sometimes fought for a simple things but still we forgave and say sorry even if it wasn't my fault or her fault. Jennie is more important than my pride that's why I will do everything in order for me not to lose her not only her but also my family.
