"You sure you don't want me to move with you?" Kelly pouted. "No, its ok. Don't worry, I'll always be over here and you can always come spend the night with me whenever you want," I said rubbing Kelly's shoulder. "So, can I come tonight and help you unpack," she jumped up and down.

"Of course," she grabbed some stuff and walked outside to help Harold and I. "Don't leave, Clarice wanna see you before you go," Harold said walking back up the steps. "Ok, I'll be right there," I said. I saw Kelly giving Clarice and Harold a hug, before I walked up to them.

"Awww baby, I'm sure gonna miss you," Clarice said about to cry. "I'll miss you too mama," I hugged her and then Harold and waved them off. "Where are the apartments at?" Kelly asked getting impatient. "We're almost there." "Can we get some snacks?" She asked as I pulled off the road into a gas station.

We got out the car and walked inside. The store was a bit small, but seemed to have all the right stuff. There was a icy machine off to the side and hot dogs in the oven. I mixed a red and blue icy up. Then, I walked down the candy aisle, grabbed some potato chips and some skittles.

"Your total will be $4.18, I handed the guy a $5. He gave me my change back and I looked around for Kelly. She was standing in the back as an old lady handed her some nachos and a sprite. This girl always eating something, I thought shaking my head and smiling at the same time.

She looked like she was struggling with the cash, nachos and bottle of soda. So, I walked up to her and grabbed the nachos out her hand. I grabbed a big cheesy chip off the top and popped it in my mouth. "Ahhh," I sucked in air when I burnt my mouth. "That's what yo greedy ass get, next time you'll keep yo grubby paws off what's not your," she laughed.

"Yea right," I rolled my eyes as we walked back out to the car. "What's up with you, you been eating more than usual?" Kelly observed. "I'm hungry, I gotta eat." Mm Hmm, let me find out," she eyed me suspiciously. "Girl boo, get ya life," I said pulling off toward the apartments a little ways down the road.

"Monique ! Now you know this aint you," Kelly opened her eyes wide in excitement. "Yes girl," I laughed rolling my eyes and pulling into a parking space. "You at the top or bottom?" Kelly asked looking around. "Top," I replied. "Dang, now you know my lazy ass don't wanna hike up no flight of stairs," she complained. "You can always go home," I pointed out. "Nice try," she gave me a stank look.

"Help me get this stuff up there," I said. "Oh yea, I have to warn you, there is no water. The water don't get turned on for two more days," I informed Kelly. "Dang, you know I can't be round here smelling up the place," she whined. "You'll be alright." We both went up the stairs and I pulled out my key to unlock the door.

The apartment was pretty nice, the floors were plush tan carpet. It was a one bedroom apartment, but kind of big for one person. The bathroom had a jacuzzi type tube and a hand motioned toilet, where you could just wave your hand over the top and it flushes. The lights in the house were clap on clap off.

Kelly and I finished packing everything and sat on the floor to finish her nachos. We watched a movie on Kelly's portable laptop. I laid on her belly and we both fell asleep. "I never thought I'd see myself here, but I made. God works in mysterious ways, I smiled up at the ceiling and whispered Thanking God for everything.
