Chapter Eighteen

When my sister told me she was pregnant, I was so happy for her. I wanted to see the ultra sound pictures, but she said she hadn't got one yet. My family and I have been getting along great. They bought me a four wheeler for Christmas.

We took family photos the other day, and I got a little sad when I noticed Monique wasn't next to me. We were both in different families and happy, I guess at some point we all have to learn to let go. No matter how hard it is, we have to let it go. We came into this world alone and with die alone.

Pete and I have been getting closer by the day. Its like I'm his shadow, where he goes I go. They also bought me an iPhone that way Monique and I can keep in touch. "Ready to go?" Pete called. We were headed to the movies, since Julie was off and could take care of Elijah. "Coming." I ran down the stairs and headed out after Pete.

"What do you wanna see?" Pete asked as we took off. "I need to see what's playing," I said. We ended up watching some random movie and I fell asleep. "Tucker," Pete shook me. "Wake up," he looked at me. "Sorry, I thought it'd be better," I wiped the slob off my lip with the back off my hand. "Hungry?" He asked. "Yea, I could eat," I said patting my stomach.

We headed out and drove off. "Where we going?" Tucker asked. "You'll see," he grinned as if he knew something I didn't know. When we pulled up to hooters, my eyes dilated two inches. "Hooters ! Really?" I asked looked at Pete with a goofy grin on my face. "Yea, get out."

When we got inside, there were woman with big breast walking all around. They wore white shirts down to their belly button that read Hooters in big red letters. Complete with black shorts that had their ass half out. I think I'm gonna like this, I thought as I looked around at all the women half naked.

"Hey cutie," A lady walked by with a tray and winked at me. I couldn't even form a sentence, because I was too busy looking at her. I begin getting excited and I had to focus on something else. I looked over at a table and saw an old man trying to flirt with one of the girls. She seemed to be flirting back, but I guess that's all apart of the job.

"Let me know when your ready," A lady said handing me and Pete a menu. She came back five minutes later and we order our food. "We'll have two sets of wings and a burger with triple meat, triple cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles," Pete ordered handing the the lady the menu's as she scribbled down our orders. "What can I get you to drink?" She asked clicking her pen. "A Dr. Pepper and...I'll have a coke," I added.

We waited for our food and drinks to come as we looked up at the TV on the far side of the room and so some guys getting rowdy over the game. Another lady, the a name tag which read Becky placed our drinks in front of us. "Your food will be ready in about ten minutes," she said then walked off.

"What do you wanna be when you grow up?" Pete asked looking down at me as he took a sip from his soda. "I wanna be a MD. and save lives," I replied without a second thought. "Oh yea?" He raised an eyebrow. "Yep," I said popping the P. Pete nodded his hand and ruffled my hair up.

"Here you go, If you need anything just ask," Becky placed our food down and walked off. The minute I took a bite of my wings they were hot, and I drank some of my soda. Bad idea, because that made it worst. "I need some water," I waved my hand like a fan with my tongue sticking out. Pete waved the waiter over and she took her time and came over.

"What can I getcha?" She asked "A glass of water," I said. "What did he say, I couldn't understand him with his tongue out?" She asked looking at Pete. "Water," he stated. She walked off and came back shortly with a glass of ice water. "Here you go," she handed to me and I took a long gulp as the water spilled on my shirt. "That's better," I breathed a sigh of relief.
