Chapter 10: Cantina Duel

It has been a week since Hux stoke my lightsaber. Today I'm going to get it back.

"Hey Hux!" I exclaim walking up to him, "I can't seem to find my lightsaber."

"R... really?" He coughs, "Have you asked Ren?"

"Yes, Kylo told me to ask you." I say smiling, "Do you know where it is?"

"Uh, no." He says, quickly, "I don't know where it is."

"Really?" I ask, "Darn, I was going to duel Kylo today... I really need it!"

"Hang on." He turns around the walks into a room, I think they are is quarters.

He walks back out with my lightsaber, "I found this lying about somewhere, I didn't know if it was on the training ones or what." He says handing me my lightsaber.

I ignite it and smile, the magenta glow filling the room, "Thanks General!"

I turn around and find my way back to Kylo, we agreed to meet in the cantina. I enter the cantina and see Kylo sitting at one of the tables.

"Don't they stay together?" One of the workers say quietly to their friends.

"Yes, but maybe they were both busy, I heard she can use the Force." One of their friends reply.

I walk past their table and smile at them.

"Good Morning, Lady Ren!" They exclaim.

"Good morning!" I say smiling at them. I walk towards Kylo.

Before I sit down in front of him, he greets me with a hug. "How was it?"

"Good." I unhook my lightsaber and show it off to him, "I got it back."

"Finally, what was his excuse?"

"He said that he found it lying around the thought it was a training lightsaber."

"So he kept it?" Kylo questions through his mask, his voice being manipulated.

"Yeah..." I mumble.

"I told you something was wrong." He says, "I don't want you being near him without me."

"Why?"

"I told you!" He exclaims, everyone looks over at us, "I don't want you to get hurt!"

I look around the Cantina and see al the employees staring at us.

"Get back to eating!" Kylo screams at the employees, "Fuck sake."

All the employees turn around and resume what they were doing.

"Okay, I'll stay away from him..." I say looking down.

"I don't want you to be upset." He says touching my right hand with his left hand. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I say smiling, "How are we supposed to stay away from the General?"

"No, you can only be with the General when you are with me." He clarifies.

"Oh!" I exclaim laughing. "If you told me that sooner then I wouldn't have been upset!"

"I did!" He exclaims, I can sense his smile.

"Oh!" I exclaim laughing louder, "I guess I didn't understand!"

"Your brain is broken." Kylo can't help himself and he lets a chuckle escape his lips.

The Cantina falls silent, I feel everyone's intense stare on Kylo and I.

"GET BACK TO EATING!" Kylo yells his mask can't take in intensity and it crackles.

Everyone turns around and starts eating.

"I guess you're famous huh?" I say giggling.

"How about we make you famous." He say standing and walking towards me.

"What do you mean?" I take his hand that was extended to help me up.

He leads me to the front of the Cantina. He pushes me away and takes out his lightsaber, "A duel, my dear."

He ignites his lightsaber and the red glow covers his mask. I sigh and take my lightsaber and ignite it. The magenta glow filling my side of the room.

I watch Kylo intensely, he is standing still waiting.

"Your move." He says, I smile.

"Maybe you should start."

"Ladies first!" He exclaims.

I smile and I charge at him. I swing my lightsaber above his head and he blocks.

"Interesting, you've never done that before." He says, he pushes me off and backflip and land on my hands and one knee.

"Decided to try something new." I stand up and he rubs at me.

We start duelling, we block each other's hits, as usual, Kylo is attacking and I am defending.
I see a chance and I kick Kylo in the stomach, he grunts and falls back. I don't wait for him to rest and I go into attack mode.
He blocks my every hit but he uses the Force and pushes me out of the way, I land in the ground and he comes to attack me.

Without thinking, I raise my hand and his lightsaber stops, mid air.

"What are you doing?" He asks, grunting and trying the push the lightsaber down.

"I wasn't ready, Kylo." I say standing up.

I let go and his lightsaber swings onto the ground, he pulls it out and starts attacking me with it

"How did you learn that?"

"Practice."

We resume our duel and I'm blocking. I use the Force to push him away and he falls, I take the opportunity to push my lightsaber in front of his neck.

"You lose." I say laughing.

"Yes, you're getting better." He says.

I deactivate my lightsaber and hold my hand out. He takes it and I help him up.

"Think fast!" He saying taking his lightsaber, without thinking I activate mine using the Force and I block his attack.

"Good..." He says chuckling.

I use the Force and deactivate his lightsaber. I also deactivate mine. I watch him clip his lightsaber on his belt. I do the same.

"She defeated me, how amazing." Kylo says patting my shoulder. "Let us go now."

We turn and walk out of the Cantina, leaving the employees shocked.
