*June 14* *One Year Later*

"Babe! Are you coming?" I called up the stairs to my boyfriend Matt.

"Just a second!" he called back.

I shook my head and sighed as I walked back over to the couch. It had been a year since I left Motionless In White's grasp. I hadn't seen or spoken to them since the night I walked out on Chris. They didn't try to contact me either, which surprised me because I figured they would try to come after me again, but I wasn't complaining.

I was happy with my life. I got to see my father again, he never asked where I was for the months that I had been gone, and I didn't tell him. It would be too complicated and he probably wouldn't have believed "I was abducted by the neigbor boy and his bandmates, oh by the way, they were vampires." so I didn't even talk about it.

I had told my boyfriend Matt about it though. At first he didn't believe me but when I showed him the words that were still on my stomach, the ones that Chris had carved into my flesh that night, he seemed a little pissed. They were lighter now but I could still make out the words. They made me think of Chris and I missed him sometimes. And Devin. But never enough to contact them.

I didn't want anything to do with them anymore. They had killed my best friend and almost me, I wondered if Helena was still with Ricky or not but it didn't bother me enough to try to find her, not that I could, I didn't even know her last name.

I moved back to Scranton, but Matt wanted to move to Philly. I refused. I didn't want any chance of running into the blood sucking undead bastards.

"Okay, I'm ready." Matt said, coming downstairs.

I giggled. "Is that my shirt?"

Matt looked down and sighed. "Goddamnit."

"No! It looks good, you can wear it. I just find it funny that you're living up to the stereotype of wearing tight pants and a tight shirt." I said, getting up and walking over to him.

"Oh hush. You know you love seeing my hot bod in tight clothes." Matt said, striking poses.

I started laughing. "Matt stop!" I said, trying to contain my laughter.

He also started laughing and pulled me into a hug, kissing my nose. "How did I get so lucky?" he asked.

"You mean how did I get so lucky?" I said, smirking.

"Please. You could have easily turned me down." Matt said.

"But I didn't." I said, smiling. He smiled and pressed his lips to mine.

We had met about a month after I got back home. I had gotten a job at a tattoo/piercing place and Matt also worked there. He was teaching me everything and then one day decided to ask me out on a "movie and dinner" date. I happily accepted because I was in need of new friends. We started dating a week after that and he was seriously the best thing that has ever happened to me.

"You ready to go?" I asked.

Matt nodded. "Let's do this."

We were going to my father's house for dinner. My birthday was today and I was turning twenty three. It kind of sucked that I wasn't able to spend my twenty-second birthday with Motionless In White, not that we would have celebrated anyways, but I knew Devin had been planning something.

"Kerstin? You okay?" Matt asked.

"Hmm? Yeah." I said.

"You're zoning." he said.

"I was thinking.." I said.

"About them?" he asked, leading me out to the car.

I nodded slowly. Matt sighed. "I'm going to kill them if I ever see them."
