The I.T guy was not able to 'fix' my laptop and instead told me to give him my number and leave my laptop with him. I would go pick it after class, soon as he texted me that he was done. I knew what he was going on about but didn't fight it, I was tired and had a 2-hour class ahead of me. He didn't text me and for some reason, I panicked for having left my laptop with a complete stranger. Soon after class, I dashed to his office only to find it locked.

I have heightened trust issues, they developed while growing up, again no judging!

I rushed to the reception area only to find it empty. All the students were leaving and I was panting, beating myself up for being stupid. After a whole 10 minutes of worry, I sat down and started calculating how much I would have to save to buy another laptop. I would have to cut on my spending habits and put less in my savings account simply because I was stupid enough to leave my I.T problem with a not so cute technician.

I recollected myself after wallowing for a hot 20 minutes and decided to try my luck once more before I headed home. All hail to lady luck because I found the office open and the guy swinging on his seat apparently waiting for me. *rolls eyes*.

That should have been my first red flag...but my naive self didn't even know what a red flag was, tsk.

Let's call my I.T guy  Guy 1 because I don't have the energy to look for an alias name. Soon as I walked into the office, the guy smiled at me and stood from his seat.

"You finally came for the laptop huh?" he said with an annoying smirk.

I literally had no words for him.

I put the gadget in my handbag and left the office. He came running after me and offered to buy me dinner since he knew that he had upset me. My love for food could not refuse the offer, neither could the singleness in me...considering I was going home to cook for myself.

He locked the office and we walked a couple of blocks to a nice quiet restaurant. All this while, he was mumbling something I don't remember hearing to this day. He was excited, I could tell, but I only accepted the offer because of the food. This, however, became the beginning of a year-long relationship.
