You held her close to your chest and kissed her head. You carried her prone form, with tears still in your eyes. Crossing her arms and closing her eyes, you and laid her on the ground. For the first time in your life, you prayed. You prayed to God for her safe journey. Knowing that Lane was a Christian, you felt that this was the best thing you could do for her.
As you wobbled to stand up, you looked over her body and did the sign of the cross. As you were about to head up the narrow staircase that led to the rooftop, you hear a familiar voice.
"Kane, Kane!"
Another dust covered man ran up to you in uniform. You shifted your gaze to see who it was. You wanted to make sure it was a friend, not a foe.
"Sturnson?" You asked, trying to identify the man, "is that you?"
The man shook his head. He was close now and you could see the tears in his eyes. Dirt caked his cheeks as he finally reached your location.
"It's not Sturnson," the man whispered, "it's Johnson. Sturnson's dead. They are all dead."
You couldn't believe what you just heard. Even your platoon leader, known to be the baddest and strongest fighter in the marines, died?
"We gotta go! Abort this mission!" He shouted at you as you were paralyzed from the news.
He noticed that you weren't moving so he grabbed your arm and forced you to move.
You both ran out of the building, leaving your partner all alone. You held back your tears as you convinced yourself that she would be in a better place. All of them will ascend to a better place.
"Are you sure about that?" You asked Johnson, "you are positive that no one is still alive?"
You remember the fact that Wick had been shot in the back just as the team had made its way through the trench. For some reason, you found it odd that your brain decided to tell you that at that moment. It had to be pure coincidence. It just had to be. Wick must be dead. He was shot in the back. He had to be dead.
"Yes I checked and no one survived. We have to go!" He urged as we made our way out of the town.
[End of Flashback]
With Wick's gun still pointed at you, you continued to distract him.
"Look, Johnson said that everyone was dead. I was surprised that he said you were dead. You of all people should understand. I knew you were just too damn strong to die there," you confessed.
It was partially true. You always did admire your platoon leader.
You can sense that he was flattered. The way he smiled back after your statement proved it. You still mattered to him.
"I would've never abandoned you...but I'm glad you're alive now," you admitted as you dropped your gun down on the ground.
Holding your gun directly at him wouldn't ease him enough to drop his guard. So you dropped yours first.
"It's not too late to finish what we started. You wanna know what I whispered in Chandler's ear before your friend's theatrics ruined the evening?" He asked as he walked closer to me, his gun still pointing at me.
He came intimately close to my face and pointed his gun to my cock.
"Tell me," you flirtatiously teased.
You raised your hands up to your shoulders to show him that you mean no harm.
He comes close to your ear and whispers, "that I am in the mood for some military style sex with the short one."
