Battle of The Ages

He glared at me as he picked up the sword that he dropped when he collided with the tree, then unleashed a battle cry as he ran at me. I transformed into my wolf form and ran at him as well, my sharp teeth digging deeply into the flesh of his leg, while his sword got me on the waist. We both pulled back due to the painful blows. I staggered slightly to the side when I jumped back and landed on my feet. I could feel my blood slowly sliding through my silver fur.

"So, it's my turn to die, huh? Looks to me like I'm saying that to you." Kai muttered through clenched teeth as he limped slightly while stalking towards me. I growled at him as he got closer and closer. I jumped and clawed him in the face when he crossed the centerline of the clearing. He actually screamed and staggered back when I lept off him. When I turned around, I saw that I managed to claw out his left eye. I was honestly aiming for his right, since I know he's right-handed, so his right eye would be better to take out to ensure he'd have a bad aim while fighting.

Either way, I definitely made it difficult for him. "You stupid mutt!" He yelled as he charged at me with his half bloody face. Before I could react, he jabbed me in the back with the sword. I could only cry out and whimper as the blade pierced straight through my thick hide and through my skin. I couldn't tell what he pierced through my body, but I was lucky that he missed my heart. However, I could feel the tip pierce through my chest. Since I could still breathe, for the most part, he got between my heart and my lung, but that is till bad.

I growled as soon as I stopped whimpering and dug my teeth into his stomach. I bit hard enough that I could feel my teeth pierce through most likely his liver or stomach under the skin. His bloody shrieks were convincing enough that I left my marks. I jumped back as soon as he removed the sword, and whimpered as soon as I jumped. We both staggered around on our sides of the clearing.

"So.... The mutt is more bite......than bark. That's a lot more than I......expected...from a Honshu descendant..." He said as he clutched his stomach, slowly limping toward me with his sword, but to my surprise, he sheathed his sword and pulled out a matchlock gun. I transformed back to my human state and glared at him. "That is unfair......and you know it. I don't......have a gun on me." I said as I put my hands over my two wounds. "All is fair in the war, my dear..........I'm sure your parents.........told you that a long time ago." He said with a smirk as he aimed the gun at me.

When I saw his hand twitch to pull the trigger, I used all my strength to jump to the side, just barely dodging the bullet, but I landed on the wounded side of my waist. I winced as I rolled slowly onto my back. "You have a lot of guts, little lady. It's.......too bad that you're not.......my child. You would've been.........a great Kitsune." He said as he approached me, the matchlock gun still aimed at me. I heard the clicks of arming the gun as my vision began to blur. "Even if you were the only..........man worthy of adopting me, I would never go with you, bastard!" I said before spitting some blood in his face. He just laughed a bit while wiping the blood away, then he pulled the trigger yet again. I screamed as I felt the exploding pain of the bullet going into my stomach. "Oh......Great Divines.......help me.........Tyler!" I cried out as loud as I could.

"Nothing can save you now!" Kai yelled as he stomped on my newest wound. I screamed and puked up the blood that came out of me. I could just barely see the shaped moving around me now, I heard another gunshot, but no new pain struck me, then I couldn't hear a thing. I could see a bunch of figures moving all around me, and one of them knelt beside me, at least I thought it knelt beside me since it was growing bigger and closer in my blurring vision, until everything went dark.
