"Tyler, I've made up my mind about this." I said as the two of us walked around outside in the training course. "But to go on your own!? You must still have brain damage or something from that wolf attack!" He said as I looked at the moon above. Its light shined like the symbol of hope in my heart that has finally ignited. "Sweetheart, you don't understand." I said as I faced him. "Enough of my people have died by your father. I'm tired of innocent people dying. When my clan was attacked, a good handful of those warriors never hurt anyone. I may be grateful that my brother and father are alive, but I with my mother as she died, and according to what you told me, she's the one he murdered directly." I said as I pulled out my mother's wedding band.
"A year after the attack, I went home to properly bury all the dead, and I saw that her ring was still on her finger. I took it only so I could feel closer to her in spirit, and since she already gave me her jewelry that night, I think she'd approve. My dad had this specially made for her, and I knew that it meant a great deal to her because of that fact. I miss her very much, and I will not allow any of you to end up like her." I said as I let him take the ring. He twirled the gold band a few times while examining the little white blue and green diamonds embedded in the gold. "I trust all of you guys, but I don't think I can handle watching anyone falling just for a war I'm starting." I said as I looked out to the stars. "I get it, I really do. I was extremely ashamed about what my father has done to you, but I'm grateful that you still love me even after hearing the truth." He said as he wrapped his arms around me gently from behind. "Babe, in this case, the sins of the father aren't yours to bear. You have a pure heart. I love you for you, not your family." I said as I looked back at him, only for him to end up kissing me.
His sweet taste filled my senses as his soft touch made my heart melt. He slowly guided me somewhere that I couldn't see, then we lowered onto a couch on the patio set for outdoor hangout days. I couldn't help the small moan that escaped me as the kiss got deeper and a bit more passionate. He eventually pulled back and gently pulled me into him until I was leaning against his chest. I buried my face into the crook of his neck as he raked my white hair, which I noticed turns silver on a full moon. "I just don't want to discover that you died by my father's hand, all alone. I can't bear that thought, my love." He whispered in my ear. "Tyler, this is something I have to do. If I don't finish him off, who knows how many people he will kill off when he discovers that members of the Honshu family survived and I'm the heir of Niko Honshu? He will do anything to get to us, and I already lost my mother. I don't want to lose anyone else." I said as we held each other, watching the moon, stars, and clouds above.
"Say no more, Mikaela. I understand what you're saying, but promise me that you will call for help when it's needed. My father is not an easy opponent to injure, let alone kill." He said as I leaned my head against his shoulder and closed my eyes. "I promise I will call for you or anyone else if I need help." I said as I locked our pinkies together. "Cross your heart?" He asked as his pinkie wrapped around mine. "Cross my heart." I said as we went back to hugging. "No matter what it takes, I will come back to you." I said as my arms wrapped around his neck tightly. "You'd better." He said as he wrapped his arms around my waist and under my legs, lifting me up. I laughed sweetly as he kissed me on the neck.
Once we were up, he carried me inside. His grip on me was definitely tight, but not in a painful manner. He continued to kiss me on the neck as we made our way through the house and he didn't stop until he lowered me onto the bed, where he got on top of me and continued to kiss me on the neck. The moans escaping me definitely made this worth it to him, I could imagine, but the amazing sensations erupting through me, I just loved every moment of it. These wonderful feelings eventually made me feel numb, comfortable, and sleepy at the same time. The last thing I heard was him whispering soothing things in my ear as sleep consumed me.
