Yunho gasps and whimpers, kicking his feet and murmuring incoherent sentences under his breathe as the chains holding him down to the bed rings and dances loudly in the silence of the room.
His eyes were shut and a cold sweat glistened on his forehead from the fluorescent lights in the room.
Chiyo, who was busy making a concoction for his next 'phase', stops momentarily and looks at the whimpering boy. After she had knocked him out she then put him in a dream like state except in this case it was more like a nightmare.
In said nightmare, Yunho was in this same room. Chiyo wasn't there, instead it was Jaejoong. The lights were off and his grey eyes shone brightly in the dark. He held a large sword tightly in his hand and over and over again he would stab Yunho.
(Lol I was rewatching Naruto for like the 100th time. If you get where I stole this scene from then ily. Atinyweebs world domination 😤)
Over and over again Yunho would cry out in pain. Though he was sure it was a dream it felt very real. Almost too real that at one point he felt like it was actually happening. He would try to speak but his voice was gone. All he could do was scream in agonizing pain, repeatedly, waiting for the torture to be over.
"Pledge your loyalty to me, Yunho" Jaejoong would repeatedly chant. Yunho kept nodding as if to say 'I pledge' but it was no use, the stabbing continued.
Back in the real world after Chiyo had taken a few seconds to look at the frazzled state of the drow she returns her attention back to her concoction. The first phase was mental torture, the next would be emotional and the last physical. Honestly Chiyo was sure he wouldn't make it past phase two. He's too fragile a person. She was hoping he would've cracked by now but he was holding out better than she expected so she had no choice but to move onto the next part.
What this whole process does is that it basically wipes of every emotion, mental, or physical pain we could potentially encounter in battle. It trains him to become a super soldier. Phase one: mental, trains him not to succumb to anything no matter how mentally exhausting it was.
Phase two: emotional, would wipe him of any emotional attachment to anyone and anything. It would make him act on command and purely on command, not on his emotions or feelings.
And lastly, phase three: physical, trains him to become unfazed by any physical pain such as a stab or a cut. This phase would be the most painful which is why she saved it for last. He would have to endure physical torture for hours on end until the pain became no more distressing than blinking.
Just as she adds a few drops of Scylla's blood to the small mortar then continues mixing with the pestle the door opens and Jaejoong himself walks in.
Chiyo looks at him, slightly startled, but relaxes when she sees who it was. "All this time and nothing has changed. You really should try knocking once in while" She smiles to herself as she places the tool down then pulls herself up on her feet.
"How's the weapon shaping up?" He ignores her comment and looks over at the sweaty, whimpering, chained up drow who looked like he was having a terrifying dream.
"He's getting there. He's being a bit resistant but other than that he should be ready by the end of the week" She glances over her shoulder and looks at the dark elf on bed before shifting her gaze back on Jaejoong.
"So how are you? What's it been, like 300 years since we last saw each other?" She looks at him with certain look in her eyes. She steps forward slightly, her movement knowing, calculating.
Jaejoong just looks at her with an amused look on his face. The corners of his dusty rose colored lips lift up into a smirk. This look gives Chiyo a bit of confidence to bring herself closer. She inches up on her toes ever slightly to get to his height, their gazes never breaking for a second.
