The Genocide
They called it the Blood Night.
Because in one night vampires were able to kill off an entire race. It was something Jaejoong had been planning for months. He researched and joined hands with Chiyo, one of the most powerful heretics and his beloved at the time, to go through with his plan.
He knew as much as anyone that attempting to storm the druidic grounds of Fladow would result in his untimely defeat due to how much more superior in power they were. So Chiyo began creating a spell months in advance. One that would create an invisible dome around Fladow that blocks off the magic energy druids use.
Basically they were no weaker than humans and were forced to run for their lives as vampires stormed the city and ripped out the necks of every non vampire they spotted. Women. Men... Children. They were cut down on sight.
Screams of horror and desperate cries of help clings to the night sky as druids ran helplessly left and right. Some running into each and toppling over one another like bowling pins. Others grabbed as many little ones as they could and ran for the escape boats.
"Go! Go! Everyone move!" Druidic military men ushered people towards the north were boats were lined up along the shore. A vampire suddenly sped up to of the men and snapped his neck before anyone old warn him, this causes everyone to scatter defenselessly.
Further south, along the border of Naex and Fladow, Jaejoong steps out of the carriage that had transported him there then he turns around and gently takes the hand of Chiyo. She stands beside him with a wicked smile painted on her blood red lips. A similar one on Jaejoong's lips as well. The slight wind from the cool night blowing strands of their dark hair in different directions. Jaejoong inhales deeply at the heavy smell of blood that lingered in the air.
"Your majesty, most of them are headed north. A few still hiding around the city" His lieutenant says gruffly as he bows deeply at the sovereign leader.
"They're trying to escape" He almost laughed out loud. "Make sure not a single soul leaves the city. Take your men and cut them off before they reach the boats. Kill them all" He orders and the lieutenant bows again before hastily walking off.
Chiyo chuckles darkly beside him and he snaps his head in her direction, his brow raised in question. "What?"
"Nothing" She waves her hand dismissively. "I just love it when you speak so... dangerously"
Jaejoong smirks in amusement. He wraps his arm around her hips and brings his lips to her ear. She giggles a little at the teasing gesture. "Let's burn everything to the ground together" He whispers huskily and Chiyo felt shivers go up and down her back.
"Anything for you, my love" She says with an awestruck glint in her silver-grey eyes.
