"Who the hell are you?" Hongjoong mutters dangerously, the stake pressing deeper into his skin
Shit... Sehyoon thinks to himself.
"Answer me!" The vampire demands. "I've been watching you and how you keep sneaking around all suspiciously. I know every castle guard like the back of my hand and I've never seen you before"
Sehyoon was speechless, he didn't know what to say. He figured if he ever got caught by some guard or one of the many servants that wander around these halls he would just kill them, no one would notice one less guard or servant. But this wasn't just any guard, it was the prince himself. Surely people would definitely notice if one of the princes went missing.
"Start talking" Hongjoong growls, his eyes flashing dangerously. Sehyoon feels the wood press deeper into his skin. Honestly, he was trying not to panic.
He opens his mouth to say something and at that exact second a voice calls out to them. "Oh Chan! There you are. I was looking everywhere for you. Hongjoong... is everything alright...? Why are you on him?"
They both turn simultaneously to meet the concerned eyes of Mingi. Hongjoong cocks his head to the side in confusion. "Mingi?"
Mingi walks up to them and prys Hongjoong off the disguised drow. "This is Chan, he's a transfer from the quarters" Mingi smiles reassuringly. Sehyoon had no idea what the human was going on about but he simply went along with it if it meant he would get out of this situation.
So he nods in agreement.
Hongjoong eyes the vampire. "Really? What faction are you transferred from?"
"3-B, he's mute so someone else usually does all the talking" Mingi was quick to interject, he chuckles lightly to ease Hongjoong's suspicion.
The vampire prince looks seemingly unconvinced but he nods curtly before turning and walking away. "Ok. I guess I'll see you around Mingi" He flashes a small smile at the human and Mingi returns it.
Mingi then grabs Sehyoon's arm and leads him away, glancing behind them to make sure they weren't being followed. Once the coast was clear he turns back to Sehyoon. "Ok 'Chan' wanna tell me who you really are or should I call Hongjoong back?" He mutters.
"Why did you help me?" Sehyoon asks, his brows knitted in confusion. He doesn't even know me...
"You looked like you needed it. Are you gonna tell me or not?" They turn into a different hallway.
Sehyoon thinks long and hard. He wasn't sure if revealing his identity now was the smartest idea, not when he was so close to getting his little brother back. In the end, he decide that he would trust the human, at least for the time being. He did just save my ass back there...
