I woke up with a pounding headache. I groaned loudly, tossing and turning, still on my bed. Ugh, I swear I won't drink anymore.

That's what you said the last time.

Oh shut up.

" Wakey wakey, sleepyhead" , Raven cooed, patting my head a little too hard for my liking. " Raven, you're making my headache even unbearable." But my yell came out as a muffled scream because by then Raven was on top of me, using me as a human-sized pillow to lie on.

" I hate you," I croaked, " what time is it?"

"Love ya too, sweetheart and it's quarter past ten," Raven smirked my way. Hmm...quarter past ten. Wait- QUARTER PAST TEN! What the- I'm late, I'm late to school.

Lily's going to kill me.

I'm so screwed.

"RAVEN, why didn't you wake me up earlier. I'm running late and....wait-did Tris wait for me?" My eyes widened at the fact Tris waiting for me for this long.

" Yeah, that bitch came and called- no shouted your name a few times, ruining my peaceful sleep in the process. So I, kindly, poured down a pail of water from my room, perfectly on top of her head." No...she didn't... I stared at her, my jaw almost hitting the floor.

Oh, what I've gotten myself into....

" Her face was so red I nearly mistook her face for the traffic light," she laughed. Great, first Lily's going to kill me for missing school and then Tris is going to kill me again for the prank that Raven had pulled on her.

" Wait, didn't Lily see you doing that ?" I wondered.

"Oh, a little birdie told me that Lily and Travis are going for a romaantiiiic getaway and they won't be back for at least three weeks" she squealed at the end, jumping up and down on me. " We have the whole house for us, baby." And she started twerking on my bed.

Yup, we're up to much more trouble. I can fucking feel it.

I just wish we won't get into dangerous ones like yesterday...

"Yesterday?" Raven turned to me, frowning a little.

Oh, god. I didn't say that out aloud now, did I?

"Uhmm...."

Her eyebrows raised when the realization hit her. " Oh my gosh, yesterday was lit-".

What?!!!

"-And....that guy you met last night was hella hot," she sighed dreamily, fanning herself. Really Raven?

" That guy is a murderer, an assassin maybe. If I stayed there any longer, he would've killed me too. Plus, you can't say he was hot when you didn't even get a glimpse of his face".

" Still hot".

" Stop trying to set me up. You're not good at it". With that, I got up from my bed and walked to the bathroom. I threw my dirty clothes into the laundry basket before getting myself a hot shower. Ah, nothing can soothe your muscles and mind like a hot shower. I felt very relaxed and sleepy at the same time. I was almost drifting into dreamland and that's when Raven started pounding on the door.

"Girl, get ready. We're going shopping."

Here we go again. FYI, Raven can't stay in one place for more than two hours except when she's sleeping. And that's Raven for you, folks. Well, at least Raven can be a great shopping companion, let me say she has an imposing fashion sense.

So I quickly got out of the shower, dried myself up and put on faded ripped jeans with a 'hit on me' sweater. I hope no one takes my sweater as a cue, though. I made my way downstairs, but Raven was already standing by her car, glancing sideways.

I stepped out closer to her and she was looking intently at the house next door to us. Now, why would she be staring at an old empty house?

" Someone's movin' in," she replied.

What-but...ugh, not againnn.... I hate neighbors. I still don't know why, but I simply just loathe them.

Then, I saw some furniture outside and two men in a deep conversation. The one talking had his back facing me, and eerily, his towering frame looked familiar.

Hmm, strange.

The other guy was just nodding his head as if he was taking orders from the former, and then he turned and went away. Well, now it's just our new neighbor standing at the front lawn, still his back facing me.

'Why can't he just turn around', I groaned internally. As though he heard my thoughts, he turned and I saw the most enthralling eyes I've ever seen in like....forever. they were emerald green and the way his thick lashes framed those orbs made them look somewhat mysterious. But why do I feel like I've seen them before? Am I still on my hangover from yesterday?

Maybe, maybe not.

His face showed no emotion, just blank. He stared at me too, without sparing a second to blink, matching my own intense gaze as it was like a piece of cake to him. His face looks like it was sculpted by God himself, ever so perfect.

His gaze was so intimidating until I couldn't handle it anymore, so I shifted my eyes looking away from him. But when my gaze crossed with his, again, he had a faint smirk playing on his lips. Wait-he just didn't... He had the look on his face, the look that screams ' got you'.

Are you kidding me?

I don't even know his name and here he is, playing stupid games even without me realizing them. The anger on my face just made his smirk grow wider. He tilted his head to the side and sent a not-so-innocent wink my way before walking back to his house.

Asshole.

I watched his back as he walked in and out of the house, getting his things inside but I was constantly being disturbed by Raven's tugging at my arm. In the end, Raven's persistent tugging won and I ended up in the passenger seat of her car. But my eyes were still on him.

I've seen him before. I swear I've seen him before. But where did I- wait... I squinted harder.

Cou-...could it be him?
