Y/n's pov.  

Valerie open the bandage from my shoulder and see my skin didn't leave a scar and I put on my clothing.

" Aaron said to have a rest for one more day, then you can get back multitasking tomorrow morning " Valerie said.

We're in our chambers, apparently as the personal maids, we get to stay in our own room. It's been a week since the hunting grounds, Aaron has given orders for me to rest and recover first.

I stood up and sigh.

" I'm healed now, I can get back to work, it's just a small headache, I should be fine " I said.

" Are you sure? " She asked, I nodded.

The door then opens and I turn to see Raiden running in with something red in his hand.

" Raiden, what did I say about running? " I asked as I kneel down.

" Hungry? " he pass me an apple.

I take it and smile at you as I place my hand on his cheek.

" I'm not hungry, I just had breakfast " I said, he then pouts, I sighed and take a bite.

" Happy? " I asked as I chew it, his lips formed a bright smile and he leaps on me for a hug.

I fall and giggle hugging him back, I kiss him on his cheek and I pass the apple to Valerie as she eats it instead. We pull apart and I stood up, picking him up on my side.

" I have to go and find some books for Aaron " Valerie said and I nodded.

She left.

I exit the room and walk down the hallway and I head to Aaron's study. I knock and enter, I see Aaron on his desk writing.

I put down Raiden and he walks to the carpet with his toys. I shut the door.

" I thought I told you to rest " he said.

" It's been a week, I've rest enough " I said and turn around.

" I missed a lot of my chores, if I stay in bed that would be unfair to other maids and butlers who hasn't gotten their rest " I said.

I see the shelf is untidy and I head over there. I start arranging them alphabetically. I hear Aaron sigh.

I continue to arrange them when I started think about what happened last week. I put in a book on the shelf and let my hand hang as the tip of my finger are on the spine of the book.

The way I lie on his shoulder, he doesn't seem to be bothered by it, I don't even remember how I ended up holding his hand.

His face when he was asleep, the way he touched my hand when he applied the medicine, though I did regret pushing him off the bed. I could've just stay still and pretend to sleep on his shoulder.

We could've stayed like that for hours, that's a bit creepy. Plus, anyone could see us like that and it would not turn out great.

Now that I think about this, I've realized how he's been caring about me. Most prince wouldn't care if their servants die, they'll just get a new one, well not all prince.

Unlike Zane.

He's ambitious and selfish, all he could think is just taking the throne, he made people blind, no one knows who he truly is, he's a snake.

As for Aaron, he's been taking care of me ever since we've met.

I then see a shadow in the corner of my eye. I turn my head to see Aaron leaning against the shelf with his arm crossed.
