Y/n's pov.

" Won't you be joining the hunt again? " Valarie asked.

" The physician said I shouldn't be agitated and do a lot of work due to the poison I endured in the last few months, even though I already recovered, I must be careful, I'll just have a stroll through the woods not far away from camp " I said.

" What about breakfast?, Gene wanted you to join him after you're dressed " She asked, I look up at her from the mirror where she stands behind doing my hair with a raise brow.

" I know you hate breakfast but it's to keep balance of your health too " she ties two strand of my hair behind my ear, I sighed.

" I'm dying and you know that " I said as I fiddle with my promise ring in between my finger.

" Princess, heart disease is a manageable illness, you can't give up " she said, I put on the ring on my finger.

" Not a word to Aaron about this " I said, she nodded.

She was done with my hair and I stood up.

" By the way, I heard a scream last night in the woods, it sounded like you " she said, I snicker as I turn to her.

" It was Gwaine, he was being an idiot that he is " I said, she scoffs and roll her eyes.

" I never liked him " she said as she put on my translucent fabric cloak matching the colour of my dress.

" But he is one of the best knights father picked " I said and we walk out of the tent.

" Yeah, yeah, he's still a jerk " she said.

We chuckled as we approach the nearby river.

" I don't see you spending your time with Tyson " I said as I sit down on the stone near the river.

" I've been avoiding him actually " she said.

" Why is that? " I asked.

There was silence as I sit here listening to the birds chirping along with the river flowing.

" Valarie? " I turn my head to her and see her biting her bottom lip and griping the sheath of her sword.

" I don't know how I feel about him " she said, I smile.

" Sit down " I gesture to the rock next to me.

She approaches and sit down as she sighs.

" Your eyes already betrayed your feelings " I said, she looks up at me in confusion.

" Is it that noticable? " She asked.

" It's written all over you face as well " I lightly tap under her chin.

Her cheeks flush red and she tries to hide it by putting her hands over them.

" I'd say he hasn't seen you? " I asked, she shakes her head.

" As much as you are tough in front of people you have a soft spot " I said.

" That's Averie, I'm different " she said.

" Your sister has nothing to do with this " I said.

She let out a whine and palm her face as her elbow rest on her lap.

" I don't know what to do " she said.

" Why not go and kiss him right now? " I asked, her head up up to me.
