" Congratulations on the engagement! " Aphmau hugs me, I smile and hug back as I roll my eyes away in disgust.

We pull apart.

" Thank you " I said, she smiles at me and walk away.

" Smiling like she hasn't done anything " Carlos stood next to me.

" Keep your cool down, little brother " I said as I walk away, going through the crowd, approaching Liana, sitting down in her chair, holding her baby.

" How's my niece? " I smile looking down at her daughter.

" She's doing just fine " I said, Katelyn approaches.

" She's adorable " Katelyn said.

" She has her mother's beauty " I said.

" Thank you " Liana said.

" Let me " I said, she nodded and pass Leora to me.

" Hi " I look down at her eyes, she smiles and I caress her cheek with my thumb.

" Where's Carlos? " Katelyn asked.

" He was over there by the crowd near the table of food " I said.

" Gene " Liana said as I turn around seeing him approaching.

" If you don't mind, I would like to talk to my future wife alone " he smiles.

I pass back Leora to her mother and they both walk away.

" What do you want? " I asked.

" I won, can't you tell? " He asked, I snicker.

" Did you come here to talk or to just tell me about your victory while blood still stains on your hands? " I asked.

He smiles and take my hand, placing his other hand on the back of mind.

" I always get what I want " he winks.

I look away as I feel water was about to gather in my eyes.

" Don't be glum, don't worry, you'll be fine " he turns my head to him with his finger under my chin.

" You won't get away with it " I pull away my hand.

" Y/n " I look up and see mother approaching.

I smile and take Gene's arm.

" Mother " I said.

" I am excited " she looks at Gene.

Gene snickers.

" Thank the king of Edrovaria for accepting the treaty " Gene said.

" Your soon to be father in law " mother corrects.

" Yes, now mother, don't get ahead of yourself " I said.

" Oh Y/n, no need to be embarrassed " she chuckles.

" Speaking of father, where is he? " I asked.

" He's with the prince of Falcon Claw " she said.

" You should talk to him later " she said, I smile.

" Now mother, why don't you go to and find Carlos, he's probably chomping down on some dumplings and the guest might complain " I said.

" Not on my watch " she walks way, I chuckled and once she disappears in the crowd I push Gene away.
