The bots and soldiers had left around three this morning, Sideswipe woke me up and told he would see me soon. So now I was wandering alone through a large empty base with only a couple of soldiers left. It was to my advantage, I could see Sunny more now they weren't here. I made my way down towards the basement.
The mech vented heavily while the chains were cracking and making noises as he tried to move. "Hi, sunstreaker!"I greeted, standing in front of the bars. At least he wasn't that aggressive anymore towards me. He sighed and laid still, his holoform appeared shortly after his optics turned grey.
I placed my backpack on the floor "Can you come here?" I asked. He glared at me "Why would I?" he snapped. " Just come! I won't hurt you!" I said smiling at him. "Whatever!" he grumbled suspiciously. Slowly he stalked over to the bars "Give me your hand!" I said. He glared at me again "Come on!" I encouraged him.
He groaned but pushed his hands through the bars, I grabbed a moist napkin and took his hand, softly cleaning up the Energon around his wrists. Sunstreaker kept looking at me and his wrist until I was done. I did his other wrist too before I knelt down and grabbed some chocolate, handing it over to him.
"The bots left this morning!" she said. "Why do you keep telling me those things?" he grumbled. "As I care!" he snorted. "Do you trust me?" I asked suddenly. He stared at me for several moments "well... you don't treat me bad nor like a sparkling, but trust?!" he shook his head slightly.
"Well, I don't trust you fully either!"
Sunstreaker gave me a look "But we can work on that right?" I asked. "Why do you think you deserve my trust?" he growled. "I wanna help you," I stated. "With what?? I am stuck here until Sides dies or we leave earth!" he snorted. "Just between us... do you miss to daylight? To race over the highway?" I asked.
I gave a small nod "You're wasting your time with being here!"
Sunstreaker huffed "you don't know anything about me!" He snapped. "Well than tell me!" I snorted, crossing my arms. "Tell me what you like!" I stated. "I lost my passion," he sulked, sitting down with a soft groan.
I sat on my knees in front of him "not everything is bad! There are also good things," I stated. "Good things?! Don't make me laugh!" He spat. I shook my head slightly. "Sometimes it looks bad, but not everything in this planet is bad," I said.
"I'm stuck on this damn planet, in a basement, chained for more than two years, not seeing my brother, and those fragging humans are the cause I'm not free anymore! If they didn't hurt me I never would have done what I did!" He sneered.
Without thinking I grabbed his hand, making him jerk in shock and surprise. "I wanna show you not everything is bad in this world! But I need you to trust me, I would never hurt you! I'm hurt too..." I pulled my hand back and tilted my shirt, showing him the scar line across my flank Sunstreaker looked at it "I know what humans can do, I've experienced it myself, I know what you feel... okay, I know... the one who did that is still out there, I'm afraid every second of my life because she will kill me, I need to look over my shoulder everyday,"
Sunstreaker was silent and stared at me "I'm only a human, I can't really protect myself... but you can, you have your brother who's at your side, ready to protect you! I've no one... the police and FBI can't fine the one who did this, but she's stalking me, ever since I was 15,"
Sunstreaker lowered his gaze "life is a matter of choice! And whatever choice you make makes you!" I stated. "I've been stressed and suffered from extreme fear... my mom still doesn't know how I feel! Nobody does... the only time I feel safe is when I'm with sideswipe!"
"You will never confess, cause you're a fearless warrior, but you're just like me... anxious,"
Sunstreaker glared at me but said nothing "we can help each other," I added on. "What can I offer you!" He snapped. "What's the point of life if you can't live your dreams?" I asked. "I don't have dreams! I hate humans and I hate my life!" He half shouted. "And so do I!" I stated, staring straight in his eyes before I got up.
