chapter 10: wrong decision

Sideswipe was speechless "What?!" he whispered. "I know I promised you not to go near him anymore, but I started thinking about I felt so I started to feed him, and we started to talk, when you guys were in Russia I let his holoform out and he was cool, he slept next to me and helped me around the house, he even picked out Cyber, today he was really upset cause Ironhide had hit him in his face with a chain, I was able to calm him down but the chain broke and ripped the other two off, he told me to leave and well... after our talk I didn't immediately return to the base, and when I came down fifteen minutes ago, he broke free and I can't find him anymore, I maybe forgot to lock the door because I was so upset!" she said, without looking him the eyes.

Sideswipe pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to calm down and think of something he could do. "This is exactly the reason why I told you to stay away from him! Sunstreaker is a sociopath! He's a dominant and narcissistic mech!" Sideswipe spat. "I am sorry okay! But he was nice to me... he understood me!" She whispered. "He doesn't! Sunstreaker only cares about himself! There's a reason why he's locked up in the basement! You can't trust him!" Sideswipe spat.

Skylar felt the tears sting in her eyes, she deeply cared about Sunstreaker and started to feel more for the mech. Sideswipe stared at her in disappointment while she sat down on his bed. "You made a huge mistake and now he's free, the one who has multiple murders on his name," sideswipe coldly said.

Skylar felt the tears run down her face. "He could've hurt me so many times, but he didn't," she said, looking up to him. Sideswipe didn't really know what to say on that, doe so far he had tried to kill every human he saw.

"He said... that he was gonna protect me, he said you failed in protecting me and he was angry about it," she whispered. Sideswipe bit his lip and sat down next to me. "Sunstreaker never tried to to hurt me, he even let me hug and kiss him, would he let me do that if he didn't care about me?" She whispered.

Sideswipe didn't reply on that "we need to find him," she whispered. "No... I'm gonna find him," he growled and got up. "Sideswipe please! He's not a bad mech!"

"Is he your brother! No! I am born with him! Don't you think I know him better!" He spat pushing me aside.

"He's hurt! You have to believe me, he misses you! He told me that, he almost broke into tears!" Sideswipe glared at her before he left and slammed the door closed. Skylar sprinted over to the door but sideswipe was already gone.

She stayed on the background while Sideswipe told Optimus what she had told him and felt her world collapse. She was devastated Sunstreaker was gone and now realized how much she depended on him.

"There's nothing to see on the video footage," Mirage said. "It has too! Sunstreaker left through the gate! There's no other entrance," Ironhide growled.

"Only a military vehicle at 9 PM," he said. "It must be him! He probably changed his alt-mode so he could leave without anyone suspecting a thing," Jazz said.

"Smart mech," Ironhide grumbled.

"We need to find that mech before he does more damage, I suggest we transfer him to the secret base on Diego Garcia where we keep our prisoners as well, if he escaped there he can't leave the island, and swimming is too far," Ratchet said.

Optimus thought about it and gave a short nod in approval. Skylar clenched her jaws together, she had to find him before the Autobots would find him.

She sneaked out of the main hanger and left, she didn't want to face them anyway.

As she walked through the city, she looked out for a yellow car, she was sure he changed his alt-mode again. But the more she walked through the city the more she started to realize she wouldn't find him in this big city.
