That evening, she visited Sunstreaker again. The mech was already waiting for her and watched her open the gate. Skylar hugged him and buried her face in his chest "What is it, fleshy?" he grumbled. She pulled back and shook her head "Walking around with fear won't help!" he said as he watched her sit down against the wall.
"Sideswipe asked me to join him for a pool party, and we had an argument before cause he knew I lied to him, I didn't want to tell him I am with you cause I promised him..." she said. Sunstreaker sighed and sat down next to her. "I could make it up to him to join him... but I am afraid of water," she whispered while pulling her knees higher to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs.
Sunstreaker watched her and smelled the strong scent of fear. "hey..." Skylar looked at him and let him brush her tears away. "You don't have to swim..." he said. "What if Sideswipe wants me to swim!?" she asked. "He asked you to join... not to jump in the water with him!" he snorted. Skylar rested her head upon his shoulder.
"I brought you food though," she grumbled as she handed him a sandwich and a bottle of water. he took it but laid it down next to him. "You don't have to do something if you don't want too," he said. She nodded and curled up against him, closing her eyes. Sunstreaker ate the food she brought for him "you don't have to do things you don't like!" he grumbled. She sighed and nodded, watching his holoform disappear.
His bipedal-mode came to life again and shift a little, Skylar got up and walked over to him, curling up against his warm and scratched frame. Sunstreaker tilted his head a little to look at her but didn't really care. Skylar fell asleep with the soft sounds of his systems on the background.
The next day, Sideswipe was really excited about the party, and couldn't stop talking about it. "Do you even have a bikini?" he asked finally. Skylar thought about it, she did have one, but she never swam. "at home..." she replied finally. "Alright... well we go first to your home then!" he said. Skylar sighed softly and nodded, she rather stayed at the base and spent time with Sunstreaker instead of going to a party. She wasn't really a party animal.
"Come!" Sideswipe chirped and almost dragged her through the halls towards his alt-mode. As they reached her house, Sideswipe almost dragged her in and instantly picked up Cyber. "Oh my god... he's so cute!" he whispered. "I know..." she mumbled and ruffled the cat which Sunstreaker picked and loved.
"I am gonna search for my bikini, It's still a little bit of a mess," she apologizingly. Sideswipe waved his hand "Doesn't matter," he said. Skylar headed upstairs, searching through her closet until she found her bikini and grabbed it, holding it up.
She wasn't really sure about this, she hated water, and she hated to show her scars. Slowly she got up and pulled it on. Some tears welled up in her eyes as she traced the small scar line on her flank which led towards her back for a small part.
She stalked over to her room again and searched for a shirt, "Nice," sideswipe purred. Skylar turned her head, not wanting to show him her scar on the other side of her body which he couldn't see from where he was standing. Skylar only glanced at him and grabbed what she needed, Sideswipe approached and stopped her she got behind her and traced her scar with his fingertips.
"How did you get this?!"
Flashbacks flew through her mind, making her shiver and breathe faster. Sideswipe span her around and saw her dull and anxious eyes. "Something bad huh!" he mumbled as he looked at her stomach. Skylar only nodded "Luckily the line is getting thinner!" she mumbled. Sideswipe hugged her and buried his face in her neck.
"You're just like Sunstreaker..." he whispered. Skylar said nothing and focused on his touch. "I'm sorry that happened to you!" He mumbled. Skylar turned around and nuzzled his throat. Sideswipe hummed and wrapped his arms tightly around her, rubbing her back softly.
