Song - Jump then Fall (Taylor Swift)

"I really thought they'd let him out by now. Isn't it a kind of child abuse?", Jin asked Rose as they sat in a circle near the football nets. An unusual spot but a good one during winter because no one dares approach the cold grounds in the evening.

Rose shrugged, "It is not the first time but definitely the longest. However, thanks to you, he is happy despite the frequent arguments that run in our household."

Jimin tried to pull the dry cold grass out of the ground and then, "I was thinking about it. And, I asked him too but - ". He paused wondering as if he said something wrong and then continued, "If he could just agree to what they say. I mean, what's the worse thing that could happen?"

"He is stubborn. He says that he cannot pretend.", Rose replied while Taehyung walked over and found his place in Jin's lap.

Jimin sighed, "But I will get to see him every day. No more secret meets, or muffled talks, or hiding in the washrooms – "

"That was one scary day for me too.", Rose agreed.

"And no more having to fear that they might force me to date him.", Jin added unaware of the affect it'll have on the boy sitting comfortably in his lap.

"What?", Tae snapped back to look into Jin's face.

And then Jin realized, "N-no. They did not really ask. They sound like they might – not that I will agree to it. I almost have all his favorites memorized and my previous stay at Japan and fluent Japanese makes them think I should take Jungkook there too. Again, not that I want to – "

"But you will if they force you to?", Tae asked coldly.

Jin seemed lost, "I don't – "

"Jungkook wouldn't like that. I know.", Jimin concluded with a tone that meant 'drop the discussion'.

They did, but the blonde-haired boyfriend sat scornfully through the rest of their cascaded conversations of Rose promising to convince Jungkook to give in and pretend, before Namjoon had the sense to usher them to get back home before they froze to death.

...

It was the sixth time in two weeks – not that Jin had any complains about it nor was he keeping count (fine, maybe he was keeping a vague count), that he found Taehyung in his balcony at 12 at night wanting to come inside and that he was just looking for warmth. Well, he got more than the expected warmth each night before they drifted off to a dreamless sleep.

It was 6:30 in the morning, a rough 50 mins before Taehyung wakes up to rush back to his house and pretends that he never left it in the first place. It was also less than a week away from Christmas – which wearily reminded Jin about Jungkook's parents' insisting him to come over for their annual Christmas party – which was tonight, a whole 5 days before Christmas, because, they explained without prompt, Christmas is only for family. Though when Jin mentioned this to Rose, she scoffed at it because she doesn't remember the last Christmas that she really spent with them.

He shifted his gaze to the boy who had made it a habit to rest between his sheets and leave his scent behind. Which is definitely good for Jin, who found comfort in his bed on the off-days when Taehyung did not find his way to his balcony.

Today however, Jin had to wake up early which meant Taehyung had to wake up before his usual timings. He promised to pick his parents from the airport, have a long session with Yoongi and Ken, and maybe gather the courage to attempt the lyrics he had wanted to write since long. And, then, of course the party at night.
