People leisurely strolled into the cafe and by a quarter to seven, the twenty chairs that were empty before were now filled. A lone chair was placed facing the audience, next to a board that read "Matters of the Heart written by E.L. Tiffin.".
A young brunette with slightly wavy, shoulder length hair stepped up and excited chatters were replaced with the sounds of hands clapping. The lady smiled brightly and bowed slightly, then there was complete silence.
"Before I begin, I would like to thank everyone for making time to gather here for my very first author reading session. I would also like to thank Anne for allowing us to hold this session in her cafe." She inhaled slightly before she continued. "Last but not least, I would like to thank my editor, who is also my close friend and mentor, Katherine Powell. Without her, this book wouldn't have been published. Well, let's begin!"
She took her seat and held up the book that she had been holding in her hand. Flipping past the cover and the initial pages, she began to read aloud.
