Chapter 5: Speed Friending

"Full name?" David smiled at me while asking his first question.

"Rachel Noelle Lindsey." I answered him simply. "What about you?"

"David Christopher Scarzone. Favorite color?"

"You can't already tell? It's lime green! No, I'm just kidding its black." I told him laughing at my corny joke. "I already know your favorite color though so let's go with... Do you put on your pants or socks first?" I asked him.

"Well, if I'm in a rush then definitely pants but if I am taking my time then I put on my socks." He answered me, thinking through the question. I agreed to his method as we prepared for more questions. This continued for another few minutes until Dana told us it was time to switch. This was actually fun! I enjoyed learning about David.

My next member was Will who sat in front of me with a huge grin on his face making me believe I wouldn't stop laughing during this session. Gabe and Cole were paired next to us while Dana and Edith were with them. I wondered what they could possibly learn but that thought was lost as David started the timer.

"Favorite band?" Will asked me with a smirk on his face.

"Well... I used to know this really cool one but I can't remember the name. I think it started with two letters and had this tall Asian kid in it. You know who it is?" I asked him with a smirk of my own.

"5 Seconds of Summer right?" He asked jokingly. I let out a loud gasp and put my hand to my heart.

"Oh no you didn't! Calum isn't even Asian! I was talking about IM5 but now I change my answer to One Direction because I'm obviously 1d af." I told him off, flipping my hair at the end.

He couldn't stop laughing at my response and we spent the rest of the time reenacting the way I freaked out in different ways. In between that he managed to tell me his favorite John Green book, The Fault in Our Stars, while I convinced him to go and read Looking for Alaska and tell me about his Pokémon obsession. I was just finishing telling him about my charmander blanket I got from Spencer's Gifts when the time was called. He waved at me as Cole made his way to the chair opposite me.

Next to me was Dana and Gabe, then David and Edith had a go. Will was manning the time and I looked to Cole as soon as he said we could start.

"How are you?" Cole asked me with a smirk formed on his face.

"Good?" I answered cautiously making it come out as more of a question than a statement.

"Are you sure? You aren't in love or anything?" He asked as his smirk turned into a grin while he watched my face widen in realization.

"I am going to kill Gabe." I mumbled into my mouth where my hand had come to cover my shock. "You're going to hold this over me aren't you?"

"Oh you know it! I knew it when I took that picture which you still haven't liked yet. Have you even seen it?" He asked me as an afterthought.

"Nope." I told him as he pulled out his phone to show me the picture. It was me and Dana under a throw blanket and our eyes were locked while we sat there. It looked like I just finished laughing at something he said from the small smiles that were placed on our faces. I smiled at the picture, making a mental note to screen shot it whenever I got the chance.

"You guys are cute." Cole retorted as he brought the phone back to his side and placed it in his pocket.

"Yeah but he doesn't like me back so don't say anything to him about it or I may actually die. I don't want to ruin our friendship with feelings and things like that." I told Cole who looked at me with disbelief and then nodded his head.
