Holy Shit 1K reads?! I Love You all!!

Cassidy and Alex were taking me shopping for ‘something special.’ I had absolutely no clue what this something was, all I knew was that I had to look perfect and we would continue if it took us all day. We were leaving out the sixth store that day when I saw a dress in the window across from us. Alex caught me staring and pulled me into the store so we could try it on. It was beautiful but I refused to pay that much money for a dress. Seriously eight hundred dollars? I couldn’t see myself doing that and I had no clue where I was wearing it to.

We were all in the car on the way back when we heard IM5 come on the radio. We all started laughing as we sang along to the boys. Once we pulled up in front of my house, they told me to have fun and left. I was still confused on what I was supposed to have fun doing when I saw Joe leaving out the house.

“Where are you going?” I asked him as he seemed to be rushed.

“Got a meeting across town in a half an hour and you know LA traffic.” He explained while rushing to his car and hopping in. I laughed at his disheveled hair and went inside. I headed up to my room and went into the dance studio, working on a couple of new moves until I noticed the time. The girls had told me to check my mailbox at around six o’clock and it was already seven. I rushed out the studio, about to go outside when I saw a package sitting on my bed.

Slowly I walked over to it and laughed as I saw the dress I tried on earlier inside. I shook my head at whoever was behind it and went to shower. There was a note at the bottom of the box that said ‘pick you up at eight’ so I got ready. At exactly eight o’clock I was coming down the steps when Will walked in dressed in a suit. I raised my eyebrow at him as he shook his head.

“Don’t worry, it wasn’t me who did this. I’m just your chauffeur, kinda, for the night.” I laughed at his explanation while he led me to the limo parked in front of my door. The driver opened the door and I was surprised to see that all my friends, except Dana were all piled in. We all sat and talked while I tried to get the information out of them. None of them would tell me what was happening so I just changed the subject and asked about the meeting.

Pretty soon we were all getting out at a fancy restaurant, where music was playing. I walked in with Will and David on my arms before they left me standing there. I didn’t know what to do I started to look around until I felt someone come behind me. I looked Dana up and down, admiring the way he looked in a suit, before locking eyes with him. He pecked my lips before we went inside.

The ballroom we were in was decked out similar to that of my proms, except better. There was a photo booth on the side and the chefs were all waiting on us to order. I looked at Dana in awe as he smiled at me and lead me to the picture people.

We took our corny prom photo and then we danced. This was even better than prom. All my friends were here and I actually got to dance. We stopped midway so that I could take a picture with Dana and send it to my parents back home. They would be glad to see this.

Dana and I were the only two people in the ballroom when a familiar tune came through the speakers. I admired the way the light hit Dana’s face as he leaned down and kissed me.

“Ninety-nine.” He whispered to me as we slowly rocked to the beat. I took one more look at him before crashing my lips back to his, trying to convey how much I loved him. He seemed to understand as he kissed back just as hard. My head was getting light and we broke apart for air just as the bridge came up on the song.

“Rae?” He asked me as I tried to even my breathing. I stole a glance at him and was trapped by his stare. “I love you so much. Will you please do me the honor of being my girlfriend?”

My heart stopped and then continued to beat twice as fast as I nodded my head. Soon enough his lips were back on mine as I twirled my fingers in his hair. We broke apart when we heard our friends enter again.

“You finally grew a pair and told him, huh?” Gabe said once we were all in a circle. He looked pointedly at me while I glared at him.

“What does he mean finally? What does he know that I don’t?” Dana asked confused. I was about to say nothing when I was cut off by Cole.

“Oh yeah, she’s been in love with you since like freshman year man. She’s been hiding it all this time and we were trying to speed the process along when we were at your house but you two never went along with it.” He said to Dana who smirked at me. I smiled at Cassidy and Alex who each hit their boyfriends and tried to look nonchalant.

“Don’t be embarrassed. I’m pretty sure I loved you back then too. I was just too young to admit it.” Dana said lowly in my ear making my heart melt. This was really like a dream come true.

We all sat around and ate, going in the photo booth multiple times before leaving. Dana and I were the last ones to be dropped off after we all came back from the twenty-four hour frozen yogurt place.

We made our way to my bed, too tired to change out of our clothes and settling for just tossing off our shoes. He came closer and cuddled me while I laid my head on his chest. His breathing was slow as he was about to fall asleep. I smiled up at his content looking face before pecking his lips. I thought he was still sleep and was shocked when he pulled me back for a proper kiss.

“I thought you were sleeping.” I told him while pouting.

“I know you did that’s why I played along. I love you.” He said to me, playfully poking my cheek. I laughed at how cute he was being and let myself fall back against him.

“Dana?” I called out to him after a moment of silence. He made a small sound to let me know he was listening. “Thank you for tonight.”

“I figured you needed a redo after I heard about what happened with Edith and Shawn.” He said making me remember. It seemed like such a long time ago when I found them. Shaking my head I reveled in the fact that I was now where I wanted to be with the only person I would want to be with and nothing could make me happier.

“Goodnight, boyfriend. I love you.” I said to him with a giggle, making him laugh as well.

“Goodnight, girlfriend.” He said back before we both drifted off to sleep.

And I end it with them sleeping again. Soz can't help myself!

There's only one chapter left and then an epilogue.

The prologue for my new one, Fidelity, is there so go give that a look if you want!

Sometimes I feel like I'm too old to write this. It feels weirder because Dana's only 16 too. Oops.
