"It's like a group of guys, but one of them is secretly a robot in disguise, and it's really good." Josh explained the plot of a movie as he stuck stickers onto the gigantic poster we were making together. I wanted to do purple, he wanted to do green, so we just decided on making a half-green, half-purple poster. I was decorating my side with things I liked and he was decorating his with things he liked.

The day had been pretty hectic, so we were just doing random things to cool down. I was still wondering about earlier, about how Josh had told me that something he wanted to say could change our friendship forever. I wanted to know if he meant it in a good or a bad way. But then again, I had something that could change our friendship forever as well, so... yeah. I'm of course referring to me liking him since I was a toddler, basically since I met him. I guess we both had something we didn't want to tell each other. But that didn't stop me from wanting to know what he meant.

Josh seemed like he had almost forgotten it though. He was as cheery and lively as ever, and it didn't seem like an act. I was used to his random mood swings that happened every once in a while. Now he was lively, making posters and watching movies with me. He told me that he wanted to stay at mine for more than just a day. Which was of course, perfectly fine with me. My mum would've been bummed out since she wouldn't get to give me any 'lessons' as long as he was there, but I was relieved for that. She's so annoying, gosh.

"Hmm," I drew a tiny little dog on my side of the poster. I had no idea what Josh was talking about, but I still listened and cared. "It's Halloween soon, right?" I asked, tilting my head up to look at Josh. "I don't have a costume for the colleges Halloween party."

"Yeah, me neither. I'm not gonna ask my parents for money to buy anything since I'm not talking to them." He shrugged, looking up at me and giving me a sweet smile. This was why he wanted to stay with me, the whole incident with his parents. "And I'm guessing your mum isn't going to get you anything like last year?"

"Yeah, remember we never ended up going because of it? We ended up hanging out in an old abandoned warehouse. That was Halloween-ish as well though." I felt my lips widen at the memory. It was only a year ago, yet it feels as if I was so young back then. Crazy how time just flies.

"Yeah, it almost felt haunted, you got scared and I had to hold your hand." Josh snickered playfully, to which I threw him a fake shocked expression. He was right though, I was a big baby, I still can be at times... yeah, maybe all of the time. Unless I feel courageous.

"Hey! Not my fault, it was terrifying!" I stuck my tongue out at him, that ended with us both falling into hysterical laughter.

It was nice, things weren't overly awkward between us after what happened today. That was one of the best things about our relationship, there wasn't any grudges or awkward tension, we never argued, ever. I don't know, we just never had any disagreements or anything, we basically agreed on everything. We're both extremely lucky to be best friends. I think I'm luckier though.

I haven't bothered Josh about what happened at school today, I was guessing he probably didn't want to talk about it, considering he didn't mention it at all after we got here, so that was an obvious sign.

"You know what we should do?" He asked, drawing patterns and shapes on his side of the poster. I tilted my head, curious as to what he was going to say. "We should steal costumes."

"From where?" I asked, trying to not laugh at his idea. I mean, I chuckled, so maybe I failed.

"The Halloween store! Or the supermarket... either way, we should steal the costumes. We don't have any money right now." He sat up straight, sparkled forming in his eyes. "Oh my god, let's go now! There's a supermarket across the street from here, right!? They're bound to have some costumes there!"
