"So class, turn to page ten of the book and..."
Sigh.
Why am I still upset? I've been this way since I woke up this morning. Josh tried to ask me what was wrong but I simply told him I was tired because of the alcohol, even though I hardly drank any and I'm pretty sure it was laced with something. Either way, doesn't matter. It's over and done now.
But that's not going to stop me from thinking about it. My favourite person in the entire world, the boy I love more than anything in the whole world, the one I've loved since I was literally five years old, kissed me. It was a drunk kiss, sure, but just perfect. I actually felt his lips for once, and that's was all I needed. Right? I mean, that's a dream scenario, and I experienced it, that's all I wanted, right?
"Hey, Oliver."
Ugh. I looked next to me to see the girl next to me talking to me. Marina, I think her name is. Hell, I don't know. I don't care.
"What?" I snapped slightly. This was the only course Josh wasn't in with me so I was bound to get annoyed.
"...Sorry! Just, I wanted to ask you abou-"
"About the girl I stabbed? She annoyed me, so I stabbed her, okay?" I swear, people won't stop talking about this. Probably because I've not done something like that in a long time... but come on. It's not that serious.
"Right... but, um, she's back at school today. Just thought you should know..." she then turned away quick. "But if you want me to help stop the talk for you, I can."
"Why should I care?" I rolled my eyes, what's she trying to do, be my friend? No thanks.
"Just a suggestion..." she shrugged, so I looked away. I don't care about that. I just want to get out of here fast.
Oh my gosh, how could I forget, I haven't gotten Josh anything for his birthday! It's so soon! What will I get him? A bike? No, that's stupid, he doesn't like biking. He'll be nineteen, so I'll have to do something special. I could rent a limo? Where the hell am I gonna get the money for that? Besides, he already has one.
I could have a party, but let's be honest, we have no friends. And we just partied. His parents will probably have something arranged right? Should I call them up and try to arrange something? How about laser tag? The theme park? It'll have to be something really cool and memorable because it's his nineteenth.
Josh and I's birthdays are just a week apart. Jeez. I don't care about my birthday though, just his. I'll be eighteen. Legal age to get tattooes, hell yeah. Not that I don't already get them illegally.
I'll definitely call up Josh's parents even though they aren't talking right now. He'll be fine with it, I want whatever I do to be a surprise for him. Something really special that he hasn't ever done before. But what?
"Oli-"
"What?" I accidentally yelled in class but no one cared. Marina was interrupting my thoughts again, I swear, I hate other people. What is her problem?
"I'm sorry! I just wanted to ask- er say, that if you ever need me to do something, or if you need something from the popular kids, you can just ask and I'll do it." She gave me a shaky smile that was obviously forced. What is this? Is this a trick? That's what people do with Josh, he has little minions that he hates but do things for him anyways... fear really does control people.
I looked around, having no idea what to reply to this. What am I supposed to say? Yes? No?
"Boo?" I joked and she actually flinched. I couldn't help but laugh, what the hell is going on? I've done things like hurting people in school before, but nothing like this has happened before. Jeez, people are weird aren't they? They don't talk to you then you do something that shocks them and they're all over you.
