"Good morning..." Kenny trailed off kissing Toni's neck.
"Ken." She said pushing him away.
"What's wrong?" He asked. She opened her mouth to speak but changed her mind. Instead she grabbed her phone and sent him a text. She couldn't take the chance of Sabrina hearing her.
I think Sabrina hit me
He looked at her shocked, "What?"
She mentioned a truck hitting me. No one would know that unless they were there.
"Well, I'll definitely-"
She rapidly shook her head cutting off his statement.
You can't! I need proof to know for sure.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes." She finally said.
He nodded, "Okay. There's something I want to run by you."
"What?"
"There's this party that Sabrina and I always go to. Her parents are being honored tomorrow night and she wants me to go with her. If I do she claims she'll sign the papers. This will be our last outing as a couple."
"Wow."
"I won't go if-"
She shook her head, "No, it's fine. I trust you and if that's the only way then you have to do it."
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'll go over some stuff with Olivia tomorrow at the school."
"Take Niko with you please?"
"Sure Mr.Edmonds."
"Thank you Mrs. Edmonds." He said pecking her lips slowly. She deepened the kiss only for him to pull away, "I gotta go."
She pouted as he left. Kenny went into Niko's room and found him taking pictures off his dresser and and taking them out of their frames.
"Hey, what are you doing?" He asked him.
"I'm taking these down." Niko said angrily.
"Why?"
"I hate her."
"Who?"
"Mom."
Kenny sighed, "Niko, you don't mean that."
"Yes I do, she doesn't love me." He said.
"That's not true."
"It is true and I hate her."
"Come here." He said softly. Niko walked up to him as he kneeled down. He pulled him into a much needed hug, "Your mom is a complicated person. Just know that I love you and so does your Toni and your grandma."
"I can't wait for Toni to be my new mom." He said. Not knowing that Sabrina was right outside the door listening. Her eyes watered as she walked downstairs.
Kenny pulled away, "How about I drop you off at school and we'll stop for donuts on the way?"
"Yes!" Niko cheered.
He chuckled, "Well lets go."

Toni closed the bathroom door and notice a door behind it. That's what Kenny meant by the wine cellar being right behind her wall. This house was intriguing despite all the negative energy. She opened the door and walked down the steps.
