Kenny came out of the hotel bathroom and saw Toni looking out of the window. He brought her here until he could find a new place for her. However, he didn't think she'd feel safe anywhere. Even though he had spent the night, she was still jumpy. He sighed, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing I'm fine." She said sitting on the bed. She let out a breath as tears fell.
Walking over, he kneeled down in front of her, "Everything is going to be okay." He assured her taking her hands into his.
"What if it's not? Someone came into my house and killed Simone. They didn't take anything, they just killed her and left. What if that bullet was meant for me?"
"Don't think like that. You're one of the sweetest people in the world."
"I'm just scared." She expressed.
He kissed her hands, "I got you...both of you. I'm not going to let anything happen to you two." He said rubbing her barely there bump. Suddenly he got an idea, "You know what? Maybe you should come to the house. We have a guest suite."
She snatched her hands away, "No. Are you crazy?"
"If being crazy is wanting to keep my eyes on you and our child 24/7 then yeah, I'm fucking psychotic."
"It's too much. What if Sabrina-"
"She won't suspect anything. I just want to know you're safe and I can't do that with you being here and me being across town."
She thought about it. Staying at his home was dangerous when it came to their relationship being outed. However, he was right. She needed to feel safe and to have him near.
She let out a breath, "Just for a little while?"
"I promise." He said.
"Okay." She said hesitantly.

"Hey ba- Toni? Your next lesson isn't until tomorrow." Sabrina said taken by surprise.
"Toni needs a safe place to stay. Something awful happened and she has nowhere to go. I figured since we had room..." Kenny stated.
Holding in her anger, Sabrina nodded, "Of course, are you alright?"
"Physically, yes. Thank you." Toni said.
"The guest room is upstairs, last room on the left, right across from Niko."
"I'll show you." Brenda volunteered.
"Thanks mom." Kenny said hoping she would like Toni.
"No problem, come with me darling."
Brenda and Toni went upstairs. After making sure they were out of sight, Kenny turned to Sabrina.
"Sabrina, we need to talk."
"Can it wait? Niko's team won their game and he wants lasagna for dinner." She quickly said avoiding the big talk.
He huffed, "Fine."
"Hey dad." Niko said coming from the kitchen.
"Hey, I heard the news, congratulations." He said hi-fiving his son.
"I wish you could've been there."
"Me too son. I had to help a friend in need. A mutual friend of ours."
"Toni?" He asked excitedly.
Kenny chuckled, "Yeah and right now she could use a big hug."
"I'm on it."

"Thank you Mrs. Edmonds." Toni said sitting her suitcase by the door. She let out a breath looking around the room. It was nicely decorated.
"No problem. My son seems to have taken quite a liking to you." Brenda said eyeing her son's mistress. She was shocked at his audacity to bring her here.
"What do you mean?"
"Most of his employees never get this type of treatment."
Feeling awkward, Toni pushed out a smile, "With all due respect, I just went through something tragic. Ken was just being a good friend, I'm sure he would do it for anyone. He...seems to be a good person. I don't think there's any favoritism." She explained.
Brenda returned the smile, "Most of his employees never call him Ken either." She said making Toni's heart beat rapidly. Before she could say anything, Niko ran in.
"Toni!"
"Hey!" She said with a smile.
"We won our game. I made the winning shot."
"That's amazing."
"I just came up here to give you this..." He said throwing his arm around her. Her heart swelled as she rubbed his back. He pulled away, "Dad said you needed it."
"Thank you. You're really sweet." She said as Brenda walked out while eyeing her. Toni shook it off as she focused on Niko's story about how his team won their game.
