Brenda pulled Toni out of the tub wrapping a towel around her as Sabrina stood back and watched.

"What did you do?" She asked Sabrina.

"What I had to do! She was taking them away from me." She snapped as Brenda checked Toni's pulse and bent down listening for her breaths.

Sitting up she huffed, "We need to call-"

"NO! Why are you all of a sudden so concerned?"

Brenda thought about her next words, "I'm worried about you. That's all." She said.

"I'm fine."

"Get out of here."

Sabrina frowned, "Why?"

"Do you know what Kenny will do to you if he sees what you've done? It needs to look like an accident. Now go!"

She nodded,!"Okay. Meet me in the cellar when it's over."

"Okay." Brenda said. Hearing Sabrina go downstairs, she turned Toni over and began pushing down on her chest. "Come on...breathe." She coached getting nothing, "Shit!" She picked up her phone, "Kenny, come quick, something happened!"

••••••••••••••••••••••

Toni woke up in nothingness. There was nothing around, just brightness. She walked towards a more lit area when she heard a voice, "Nope don't even think about it."

Her eyes widened as she turned around, "Simone?" She said as her eyes watered.

"Who else? Tupac? By the way, I met him...super fine." She said thinking on the memory.

"Am I-"

"No, but you're running out of time. Hurry up and go back before you kill my niece."

She smiled a bit before she started crying, "I miss you so much."

"I miss you too, but I'm always going to be with you. Just like I have been this whole time."

Toni frowned, "Who's doing this?"

"You know who. Now GO!"

The loud voice work her up and she gasped before choking on water. She struggled to catch her breath as faint memories started coming back. All she remembered were hands.

"Oh thank God." She heard as someone touched her.

"GET OFF OF ME!" She screamed fighting.

"Hey, calm down it's me." Kenny said.

She looked around, "Where am I? What happened?" She asked.

"You're here in the house. My mother had to pull you from under the water. Did you fall?" He asked only knowing a few details.

Toni looked between him and Brenda who stood in the doorway, "No I- No."

He grabbed her hand, "Here, lets get you in bed. Can you stand?"

She tried but couldn't, "Ouch!"

She guessed between the injury and her kicking and screaming, she had made things worse.

"I got you. Come on." Kenny said picking her up bridal style. He carried her into the bedroom and gently laid her in the bed. He examined her ankle as she looked at Brenda who was watching them intently.

Holding the towel tighter around herself she pulled her foot away, "I should get dressed."

"Let's step out." Brenda told Kenny as if she knew nothing.

"Toni, I'll be right outside if you need me." He said following her out. Toni nodded watching until they closed the door.

When it was closed she reached over and grabbed her cast and put it back on before popping one of her pain killers. She winced as she hopped over to the closet.

•••••••••••••••••••••

"Kenny..." Brenda trailed off watching him pace.

He stopped, "Yeah?"

She shook her head, "Never mind. I'll go make her some soup and bring her an ice pack."

"Thanks mom."

She nodded before walking downstairs into the kitchen. Kenny opened Toni's door and slipped inside.

"Okay, my mom is downst- what are you doing?" He asked seeing her hop around throwing clothes into her suitcase.

"I'm leaving." She said.

"What? Why?"

"Damn it, can't you see it? It's her. Maybe Sabrina too." She said referring to his mother.

He sighed, "Calm down."

"No. I didn't just fall in that tub."

"You probably don't remember. You didn't even know where you were a few minutes ago."

"I was sitting down. I was relaxed and then someone pushed my head underwater. They are after me."

"Why would they try to hurt you?"

Her eyebrows raised, "Are you serious? Look at us. I told you from the beginning your mother knows about us. She probably told Sabrina and now they're plotting against me."

"Toni..."

"What? You think I'm being paranoid again?"

"I think you had an accident and since you're already on edge, it just made things worse. I mean, your ankle is fractured for God's sake. I understand." He said calmly.

She scoffed, "Whatever."

He picked her up bridal style once again, "You can't go anywhere with a bum leg. Now calm down." He said tossing her on the bed.

She folded her arms, "I don't want to be here anymore. So I suggest you get me out of here or I'm going back to Maryland and you'll never see me again."

"And keep me away from my child?"

"If that's what it takes to protect the both of us."

"I'm trying to find the perfect house for us. I'm moving as fast as I can. It's hard to do that, deal with Sabrina, take care of Niko, and go to work everyday while you sit here on your ass doing nothing but whining about someone trying to kill you." He snapped.

"Well maybe if had kept your thing in your pants, we wouldn't be in this mess." She said.

"Maybe you're right."

"I wish I never met you." She said before turning over and laying on her side. He scoffed before getting up and walking out.

Her eyes watered, she didn't mean it she was hormonal and afraid. She needed answers. If Sabrina and Brenda were doing this, then she also needed proof. No way Kenny would believe his mother would do such horrible things. He'd never think Sabrina was smart enough to do them either.
