Deaf is returning home from his job as a Texas ranger when he comes across a little girl who is 3 years old and her name is Madison her family was killed because of the war and the Army men and women, so he takes her with him and starts to raise her as his own, Deaf Smith hasn't been married or have any kids of his own yet, but he is in a relationship with the doctor's daughter in town her name is Georgia, they have been together for a year and he loves her very much and wants to become a family with her so maybe taking care of Madison will show Georgia they are meant to be husband and wife and be a family with Madison.

As he take Madison to his house on the ranch and setting her in to the place before calling Georgia to come over tomorrow afternoon when he gets done with her dad and the office as Georgia let's him know she will be there around 4pm so right before sunset as Deaf let's her know he has some important things to discuss with her as she tells him she will be there tomorrow after right before sunset. Deaf lays Madison in the guest room which will be her room in a few days then he turns in for the night himself, Tomorrow morning he will work on the farm and show Madison around before Georgia arrives tomorrow evening to meet her and discuss the situation, he turns in and the next morning he is up first making breakfast for him and Madison then they will go out on the farm and do some stuff around during the day then tonight Georgia will be over and meet Madison and hopefully she will move out here with him and Madison and be a family with him and her because he can't do it without her but he has sign up already so if Georgia doesn't want to he will do alone but then he do it completely Alone he will give up Georgia to become a single dad to Madison.

Madison wake up and he sleeps through the night and she feels safe with Deaf, she is happy he came along and find her and now is going to her daddy, she is also excited to meet Daddy Deaf's girlfriend in a few hours, she hope Georgia likes her so she will become her mama eventually but Deaf has said sometimes you don't need a mother as long as you have a daddy and he is already that to her but she knows he loves Georgia and wants to make her his future wife so hopefully tonight goes well and they can become a family all together down the road.
