This will be a three part story!!!

Patrick and his wife Ashlee had Gabby 14 years ago, Ashlee is a nurse at the local hospital, and Patrick is Captain at the firehouse, Gabby is in going to high school when school returns in the fall, Patrick took Gabby to his mom's house for the weekend, Ashlee will be getting her after her shift at the hospital come Sunday afternoon, but Patrick and Ashlee doesn't know Gabby, will be near them sooner than later, and Patrick mom Lily doesn't make it. As Patrick gets a call and he rushes over to his mom's house and he can't believe he just left Gabby there and this happen, he didn't make it his mom's died and Gabby is burned Almost all over her body.

He calls Ashlee and let's her know the situation with Gabby as Ashlee can't be this happen to her babygirl and she just saw her a couple hours before, as the ambulance arrives with Patrick in there with Gabby as Ashlee is going to be Gabby's main nurse, as the crew gets Gabby out and Patrick runs to Ashlee and let's her know mom didn't make it but Gabby is in pain, he didn't make it to save her from getting hurt, he feels shiting a dad is meant to protect their kid and he didn't do it like he was meant to, as Ashlee hugs him, Patrick she will be alright the hospital has amazing burn unit, Gabby is strong and she will be alright, as they head inside and Patrick fills out her paperwork as Ashlee gets Gabby set up in her room, Patrick called Larry and told him he will be taking time off until Gabby is released from the hospital, as Larry agrees Patrick needs to be there with Ashlee and Gabby during this hard time.

As Ashlee has got everything set up for Gabby as Patrick is seating by her bedside and Ashlee goes and does her rounds before heading back to check on Gabby and her husband in Patrick, she knows it hurts Patrick that he didn't get there in time for gabby but she will be alright and her and Patrick will not leave her side for long periods of time, as she smiles at Patrick whom is watching TV next to Gabby's bed and telling her what is on as Ashlee comes over and seats down on Patrick's lap as he leans into her and smells her, her scent calms him down as he prays for his little girl to be alright and make it through this hard time.

As Ashlee feels Patrick and smiles as she gets up and walks him over to the pull out bed in the corner of the room and they lay down on it, Ashlee falls asleep first and Patrick looks over at Gabby and smiles as he goes off to sleep too with Ashlee in his arms.
