I was running threw the forest with Jason's hand in mine. The trees surrounded us like walls and their leaves fell down like heavy rain. We had smiles on both our faces and the wind pulled our hair back as we ran. Then the edge of the hill came and I couldn't stop running. Jason didn't notice the edge and kept smiling. I yelled and screamed "stop"! It was coming up fast and he wouldn't stop and I couldn't either. Then before I knew it... I was on the ground with him and Jason was dead...
I woke up fast with tears covering my cheaks. I felt like crying some more but I had to keep telling myself it was a dream and he was gone. The fact that I remebered every detail from the start and end, it made me feel like a freak.
I laid in bed for more then 30 minutes... thinking everything was over and if I could of stopped it. My mom came threw the door with a stack of clothing.
Mom: You need to get out Ellie!
Me: Why can't you just let me stay in here!
Mom: Why can't I let you? Because it wasn't your fault, and you know it! Now your going to town with me so get dressed and be down in 10. Ok?
Me: Fine...
She left with a smile full of concern. I felt like I should lock my door and stay in here. I knew she wouldn't leave me alone till I did this. What could one day at the market do? Then I go back to bed and books.
