Chapter 2 "Seeing It Almost Happen"

When I came down stairs my mom looked happy in her own little world. She had her normal sun hat on with her blue flowered top. She had her white shorts on with her blue flip flops. She was humming something but I couldn't make it out. She turned to see me and smiled.

Mom: You look much better.

Me: I don't feel much better.

Mom: Well I'm going to change that!

We made are way to the van. The breeze felt like a sensation on my bare skin. I stood there looking at the front yard, it was full of flowers and gnomes. My  mom loved gnomes, every year we would buy her a new gnome for her garden. As I stared on, my mom yelled for me to come. I ran to the van... I felt sick and felt his hand in mine. I saw it...

It was a late Friday night and we were driving from a party. Jason and I were both were drunk out of our minds. The music was blasting out of the stereo speakers. We both smiled and leaned for a kiss. Jason pulled the car in to a parking lot and I didn't know what we were doing here or where we were. I got out of car and so did he. Jason asked me what I wanted to do and I quickly pointed to the forest. I took his hand and ran with him. It was dark and we didn't know where we were going.

My mom yelled for me and said are you ok? I felt my cheeks and they were full of tears. I felt weird as she stared at her daugter... the freak. I felt as if I couldn't face her but if I ran away then she would never leave me alone.

Me: Yea, something in my eye.

I wiped the tears and got in the van and I put a smile on my face. She looked relieved and pulled the van out of the driveway. I knew this was going to be harder then I thought...
