Moving On

Chapter 21 "Moved On" "Final Chapter"

Jason stared at me with his greenish brown eyes. His hair was perfect as always and he was wearing the same thing he died in. I was wearing my dress... the one I jumped off in. D-did I die?

Jason: How are you?

Me: Ok I guess.

Jason: Good because I need to tell you something.

Me: Sure.

Jason: You need to be happy Ellie. You need to be with the one you love.

Me: I love you.

Jason: I love you too but its not me I'm talking about. Its Drake.

Me: Drake? I'm dead aren't I?

Jason: No, you have a chance to live your life, its not your time.

Me: Jason I want to be with you.

Jason: I love you and I always will but their is some who needs you more! Good-Bye.

Me: Jason wait!!!

With that I woke up and the room wasn't familiar. It was white and... I'm in a hospital bed! A nurse walked in to the room with a clipboard. Her name tag said Mary.

Mary: Good your awake.

Me: What am I doing here?

Mary: We assumed you fell off a cliff. The impact would of killed you if...

She didn't want to finish.

Me: If?

Mary: A boy, he must off fell to. He protected your body from the impact. He saved you're life.

Oh my god! Drake!

Me: Is this boy...dead?

Mary: No but we don't think he'll survive in his condition.

NO! I can't lose him too!

Me: I need to see him right away!

Mary: You can't, I'm sorry. You're not in a stable condition to walk. You're lower leg is fractured.

Me: I need to, now!

Mary: I can't let you but you're mother and a friend is waiting outside, I'll send them in.

Mary walked out of the room and I watched. I got up and dropped to the floor. My ankle hurt so bad. I had to see him. I got up and used the wall for support. I opened the door and walked along the wall and looked threw each room window. I found him and opened the door quickly. I dropped to the floor again because I didn't grave on to the wall fast enough. I pulled myself up and walked along the wall. I sat in the chair next to the bed he laid on. Tubes were conected all over his body. I started crying. I put his hand in mine and kissed it.

Me: Don't die on me, please don't...

No answer just silence.

Me: Drake, I love you so much! I don't want to loose you! You mean the world to me...

I cried and held his hand. He didn't move. He just laid there almost dead.

Mary: There you are! I told you not to leave the room! You're hurt to bad.

Me: I'm not leaving him!

I yelled at her and she looked worried.

Mary: You're family is here to see you.

What? No screaming to get out? She saw I was in pain, she couldn't make m leave him so she didn't try I guess.

Mom and Claire came in the room. Claire had a smile and hugged me. My mom did the same.

Claire: I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have yelled at you!

Me: I'm sorry I fell asleep.

Claire: No you shouldn't be sorry! I'm the one who should of been supportive because you lost Jason and you found someone else. I should of been happy not mad!

She hugged me again.

Mom: What happened this time, did you fall or... try to kill yourself.

She had no worried look just a mad face.

Me: I tried to kill myself...

Mom: Why on earth would you do that!?

Me: Because I wanted to be with Jason... but I'm ok because I now I know that he would want me to be with the one I love and to move on.

Mom: Well I'm happy for you but there are going to be rules about that forest now.

Me: I know.

I smiled at her and Claire. I looked down to see Drake. Tears fell again and I didn't know what to do. I can't loose him! God wouldn't do this to me! He wouldn't make me suffer this much pain!

Me:Please... don't die on me...

My mom and Claire knew it was time to leave so I could have a privacy.

Me: Drake, you are the most amazing guy I have in my life. You make me smile and laugh nonstop! I love you more then life it self and I don't want to loose you! I already lost Jason and now I know that I can't loose you! I love you so much...

Tears fell even harder on to my lap. He didn't even move.

Me: Please!

I sat there with his hand in mine. It was silent nothing but my whimpering. Then a familiar voice was heard. "E-Ellie"? I look up and see Drake's eyes opened.

Me: Oh my god!

I hugged him as best as I could. He smiled.

Drake: W-what happened?

Me: I jumped off and you saved me.

Drake: I know, I couldn't loose you.

Me:  I can't loose you either, I love you.

Drake: I love you too.

We hugged like never before, like a hug when you haven't seen each other for a long time. Then he pressed his lips against mine. I didn't loose him, I moved on. Jason will always have a place in my heart that no one could ever fill, but Drake also has a place in my heart. I found out that its ok to move on, its part of life. I will always love them both.
