Loki's pov
I was back in the Asguardian prison. It was dark and dreary, as usual. This wasn't the nicer wing that I last saw though. This was the harsher wing. The hall was lit by torches and seemed to stretch an eternity. Lining the hall were heavy iron doors, each with a small barred window on the top half. I stood alone at the end of the hallway, or so I thought.
"Hello Loki"
I spun around quickly to confront the one who had spoken only to find a small unthreatening man. He had shaggy hair and darker skin. He was wearing simple white clothes and had sandles on his feet. His eyes looked as if he had been squinting in the sun all his life. I had never seen this man before I was sure. But there was something undeniably familure about him. He looked at me as if we were best friends and this is the first time he's seen me in ages.
"Hello." I said calmly. "And who might you be?"
"I'm Yeshua. Mind telling me where we are?"
"We're in the prison. Asguard's prison." I responded, turning back to the eternity of cell doors before us. I took a step away from him when he started speaking again.
"We're not in asguard's prison. We're in your prison Loki." I stopped in my tracks and spun to face him again. His face was one of sympathy. I could feel my quick temper start to rise. If it's one thing I hated it was pity and his eyes were full of it.
"And what do you mean by 'my prison'?" I glared at him then.
"Well see for yourself" He walked to the nearest cell door and opened it. He motioned inside as if I was supposed to look. And what I saw shocked me.
Inside the door was a cold blizzardy wasteland. It was the Jotun palace and standing at the base of the thrown was a younger version of myself, bargaining with Laufey. This was when I plotted against my brother during his coronation.
He closed that door and walked to the next one. The rusty hinges groaned as the man naned Yeshua forced it open. The memory inside took place on earth, right after I came via the bifrost portal. It was dark. Fury was there trying to talk to me. Instead I went on a mad killing spree. Stabbing and slashing those agents without a second thought. He closed the door.
The next door was Phil Coulson. My scepter had made a clean wound through his chest and he lay on the floor gasping.
The next door was the battle of New York. Aliens were shooting civilians this way and that. And although I wasn't actually the one killing them, I was the one who gave the order. I was the one behind the portal. I was the one behind everything.
Yeshua shut the door and looked to me with a sort of sad, loving expression. "Loki, my friend, you've strayed so far from who you were designed to be. You've strayed so far from the path of righteousness. And all my father wants is to be with you again. But you've chosen to reject Him. So until you change your mind, I'll be waiting for you." And after he was finished he turned around and began walking towards the stairs leading out of the prison.
Except these stairs didn't seem normal. Coming from the top of the stairwell was this bright, beautiful light. And the more I looked at it the colder and darker the prison seemed. In that moment all I wanted to do was run up those steps into the light and leave these memories behind.
"Loki, all I ever wanted was to have a relationship with you. Think about what I've shown you today." At that he turned around and started towards the stairs. I tried to follow him but I was held back by a sudden jerk at my ankles. I looked down to see I was shackled and unable to move towards the light.
I started panicking then. "Wait! Yeshua! I can't move. I want to come with you! Help me, please, don't leave me here!" He stopped and turned around.
"I'm truly sorry Loki. But you still belong to the enemy. I can't help you." He turned away again and started walking towards the stairs with his head down in sorrow.
Suddenly the chains around my ankles was yanked back, causing me to fall on my face. I flipped over to see what had tugged on the chains to see a set of pale, slender hands emerging from the dark, holding the chains. Immediatly I knew I didn't want to meet the rest of this being, and I started struggling against my bonds. Yeshua walked farther and farther away. He was almost at the base of the staircase.
The thought of being alone with this creature was enough to send me panicking. I struggled to crawl away but he was pulling me back towards the darkness. "Wait! What do I have to do to come with you? I'll do anything! Please! Yeshua!" At this he turned around again.
"Turn away from your old self. And follow me." He said. Then he proceeded up the stairs and dissapeared into the light.
And at that moment, I was alone with my captor. I turned back to face him again. He was becoming more visible although not by much. He was shrouded in black robes and I couldn't see his face. "Come back." His voice was airy and raspy, as if he hadn't spoken in a thousand years. I was beyond scared. I was terrified. This creature was slowly pulling me towards him and whatever else lurking in the shadows. This creature was far beyond The Other, or even Thanos. This creature was on another level entirely. If Thanos was there he would've cowered in fear as well. This creature radiated dark power, and it was inescapable, suffocating.
I continued to struggle and claw at the chains but to no avail. He had me and I wasn't going anywhere. My heart started beating more frantically. I scanned the room in desperation, looking for somebody, anybody. But no one could be found.
I flipped over on my front again and continued struggling to get away when he spoke again. "Stop struggling. You belong to me remember? We've done so much work together. Do you truely remember none of it?"
"I don't know what you're talking about! Who are you? Let me go! Please!" At this point I was screaming. I wanted nothing more than to escape from this horrifying creature. But that's not what happened. The darkness crept closer and closer with the creature until they were upon me. I layed on the floor start still in terror.
"Come along Loki. You can't resist." At that he grasped my shoulders with his bony hands and lifted me up.
"No! No! No! No!
"Loki! Wake up!"
And I opened my eyes, and realized that what I had just experienced, was no normal dream.
