Pearl woke up early as she stood next to her window while contemplating the lovely orange sky turning into a bright shade of hell blue. It was just magnificent and breathtaking. She yawned and tried to recall all the events that occurred. But then a knock startled her as she jumped on her feet unlocking the doorknob. She immediately recognized the lovely shape of the valiant queen.

"Good morning your highness" Pearl curtsied

"I told you to stop with the formalities. Well get ready because the high king is requesting our presence in the throne room" Lucy sheepishly smiled

"Alright Lucy, I will be downstairs" Pearl bowed again as the valiant queen left. She took a quick shower and dressed herself with a hell-blue gown which outlined her lovely curve and shape. She then went downstairs and kneeled in front of the four royalties.

"Good morning your highness. I was told that you required my presence so here I am to serve you" she spoke in a very distinguished way

"Well, thanks for granting us of your presence miss Collins. Well as I said yesterday, you are not to leave this castle and Cair Paravel until your case is elucidated. And I firmly believe that you should stay here for the time being. As you could see, you came across a great prophecy while doing your own investigation and we are persuaded that it truly concerns you" Peter explained

"I understand everything that you said your highness. I actually thought about this eventuality. The fact that I was brought here wasn't a mere misfortune" She acknowledged

"Indeed, we are positive that it's Aslan who sent you here" Peter confirmed again

"I am interested to know, what makes you think that your highness" she queried

"Because, you claimed that you've seen a Lion lately" Edmund responded

"I know for sure that Aslan is the one who created this world since I read it from the book but.... There wasn't any mention that he was a lion" she stood there in agape.

"Indeed he is" Edmund added

"But your highness.... do you expect me to live here?" Pearl inquired

"We are expecting you to stay here. We all agreed that it's safer because of the rebellions of the Calormen and the fact that we need to keep this prophecy secret" this time it was Susan who spoke.

"Then allow me to work here your highness" Pearl curtsied

"Under no circumstance are you going to work. You are our guest" Lucy objected

"I can't live here for free. It's a huge and a very prestigious castle allow me at least to become one of your servant" the brunette bargained

"No way!! You aren't going to be anyone's servant" the valiant queen refuted again

"Then at least, allow me to be your personal cook. Well in my era I used to cook a lot and I can use this skill here. I don't feel comfy with doing nothing and not helping at all so please" she pleaded

"Well it sounds fair enough" Susan interfered this time "but don't overwork Pearl" the gentle queen added gently again.

"Thank you so much" Pearl's face shone in a delightful way.

"So now everything is settled. If you would excuse me, I still have some duties to attend to" Peter rose from his chair so as Edmund, Susan and Caspian. Lucy also rose from her chair and walk toward the brunette.

"Well let me introduce you to everyone in the kitchen" Lucy lead the way as they arrived in the castle's kitchen. It looked really stately and wonderful.

"Let me introduce you to Babbity the Rabbit. She is one of the best cook that the world has known" Lucy pointed at a huge Rabbit which curtsied in front of her.

"Babbity this is Pearl, our new guest. I hope that you will take care of her" Lucy gave a warm smile

"Oh sweet pea, It's a pleasure to meet you" Babbity smiled at the brunette who didn't seem to be shocked at all. Since she read this book, she knew that in Narnia animal could talk.

"My pleasure. I really hope that we will get along" Pearl wore a pleasant smile

"And this is Cornelia. Our truthful servant" Lucy turned her head to a magnificent blonde girl. She had short hair, two piercings and lovely blue eyes and a slender figure.

"Nice to meet you Cornelia" Pearl smiled and again as the girl returned her grin. Lucy kept babbling around and introducing the brunette to the staff as they all curtsied.

"Now I will leave you to your duty because we still need to take our breakfast after" Lucy patted Pearl on her shoulder before departing. She turned around and asked Babbity the rabbit how she could help.

After thirty minutes the breakfast was reading and Babbity, Pearl alongside with the other servants were setting the table for the royalties. As they stepped in the large dining room the four of them were welcomed with some fresh bread topped with a thin layer of jam, fresh strawberries, eggs, cheese toasts and twee pancakes.

"Oh it looks succulent" Lucy exclaimed as they took a sit. As the staff left, Pearl was about to leave with them when Peter stopped her from doing any further move.

"Well Pearl, you are our guest so I believe, you need to sit with us and take the breakfast here" he smiled cheerfully.

" Thank you so much for granting me this honor your highness but...."

"There is no but. You know that refuting a royal invitation can lead to grave prejudice?" Lucy cut her off and teased her.

"Alright then. I am glad to be here with you" Pearl exclaimed.

"Indeed, she was the one who made this tasty pancake. I suggest that you try it out your majesty, it's incredibly flavorsome" Babbity added and walked away as the brunette couldn't help but blush. Edmund was the first who nibbled on it as he widened his eyes. It was even thicker and fluffier than any other pancake and it tasted divinely good.

"Yes you are for sure a very great cook. Maybe one of the best one "Lucy stated as everyone was smiling.

Edmund studied the brunette for a moment. Sure she was incredibly beautiful and she was really something. There were some women who would be dying to be at her place. Being offered to live freely inside of this huge palace without doing anything. He presumed that some would even become too bigheaded and would boss around the servant but she was quite different. Yet Peter offered her to live there unconditionally and she kept bargaining that she wanted to work. She was different in someway and he felt like somehow he needed to make amends for misjudging her.

This peacefulness was soon disrupted when a bearer of news emerged in the castle.

"My apologies your highness but I came here because someone told me to deliver this letter" he handed it to Peter and curtsied. The high king opened it and read its content as his face immediately paled.

"What's going on Peter? You look like you've seen a ghost" Caspian asked

"Well, the prince Rabadash is aware that your wedding ceremony will soon take place so he asked to be invited "Peter stated. The gently Queen froze at these words and shivered.

"But....but....who told him about it?" She shivered

"We don't know yet but I bet some of your lady-in-wait let the cat out of the bag" Edmund stated

Pearl looked at the pained expression on Susan's face and wondered herself who this prince Rabadash was and why did she fear him at most.
