Pearl sat silently in her room. She was reading her favorite book when a loud noise echoed throughout the castle. The girl peaked through the window and gazed at the courtyard now filled with snow. Without marking her book, she ventured to the garden and reached the forest as everything was freezing. She could see the frost growing and making its way to the castle. She then shivered at the though and was about to head back to the castle when she saw a wolf standing in the middle of the forest. She studied the animal and took a quick not of his white and grey fur not to mention his bloody paws and jaw. She also took a quick note of the anger that it bore in its eyes and couldn't help but shudder.

It looked like, it wanted to assault her at anytime as she made a step backward whereas the wolf moved forward. She actually wanted to turn around and run as fast as her legs could carry her but the tiny voice inside of her told her that if she did that, the wolf would jump and attack her from behind so she just kept stepping backward until she was at the good distance of the animal. Strangely it didn't move and she took this occasion to turn around and to runaway. She run as fast as she could when she felt something on her back. She stumbled and fell miserably on the cold ground as the wolf plunge his bloody claws inside of her flesh. She screamed in agony.

"You must be an absent-minded if you think that you can run away from me because nobody can. Someday, the winter will come back and Narnia will succumb again to its cold again. This will just prove that her advent is near; that she is coming to claim what she thinks is hers" the wolf whisper while scratching her back slowly, drawing blood on her creamy skin.

"Daughter of eve, we don't wish to kill you due to your great power. If ever you become our allies, you will be saved from an upcoming death. But if you want to use it against us just in order to concretize the prophecy then may the wrath of our queen succumbs you" the wolf growl as he was about to bit her neck, she screamed at the top of her lungs "NOOOOOO".

She then fell from the bed and hit her head hard against the floor. Edmund who was sleeping peacefully in a nearby sofa jumped from her sudden outburst.

"WHAT?" he unsheathed his swords when he saw the girl landing on the floor and whimpering.

"What are you doing in the floor?" he asked as he helped her up.

"I just fell because I had a nightmare" she rubbed her eyes and held her head because of the throbbing pain.

"What in the Aslan's name happened? I can't stand this heavy headache" she held her head again.

"Of course you don't remember "Edmund snapped

"What do you mean? " she raised her head and widened her eyes as she realized that she wasn't in her room but rather in the just king bed chamber.

"w....what am I doing here?" she wobbled around the room

"You don't remember do you?" Edmund mocked while she shook her head as a response.

"Ya know you are the just king but also the HOTESSSSSSSS MAN IN THE WORLD" Edmund said while mimicking the girl's voice and expression the night before and he burst out of laughing. Pearl felt the blood invading her cheek.

"You were drunk silly and I saved you. I can't imagine what would have happened if it were Rabadash who caught you" he was out of breath.

"I am really sorry and thanks for saving me. It's just that I didn't know that the beverage contained alcohol" she looked down.

"Oh it's alright; anyway, I was going to ask you something. I couldn't keep it away from my mind since the day when we were hunting" his voice became serious.
