"All right, listen up."

Ayame looks up to Ibiki-sensei. She looks at the clock to see that it was already time. It's the tenth and final question now.

"Here's the 10th and final question," Ibiki tells them. Ayame gulps making sure to stay focus. If they can pass this question, then they'll definitely be through. The girl looks over at Naruto, hoping that he'll be able to get this question right.

"But before I give you the question, there are some more rules that you need to be aware of," Ibiki informs them just as the door opens and the sand genin who left for the bathroom a few moments ago came back.

"Ah. Made it just in time. I hope you find your trip to the bathroom enlightening," Ibiki tells Kankuro and he smiles.

"Well, take your seat." After the genin takes his seat, Ibiki turns to everyone again.

"The rules are unique to question 10. Listen carefully and try not to let it frighten you," Ibiki tells them. Ayame glances around at the few who was still left in the room.

"Very well then, rule number 1. Each of you is free to choose not to be given the final question. It's your decision," Ibiki informs them.

"Woah. So, what's the catch? Let's say we decide we don't want to do it what happens then?" Temari asks Ibiki.

"If you choose not to answer the 10th question, regardless of answer to the other nine, you'll get a zero. In other words you fail. And that means of course both of your teammates will fail as well," Ibiki tells.

Everyone starts murmuring, seemingly worried that they might fail.

"Not so fast, you didn't let me finish."

They quiet down. "If you do accept the question but answer it incorrectly, you will not only fail, you will be banned from taking the chunin exams ever again!" Ibiki exclaims and Ayame's eyes widen.

"What? That's absolute bull!" Gino yells out. "Yeah, that's ridiculous. What kind of bogus rule is that? There's lots of people here who've taken the test before," Kiba points out, standing as he says this.

Ibiki starts laughing with amusement. "I guess you're just unlucky. I wasn't making the rules before. But I am now. Of course, if you don't want to take it, you don't have to. If you're not feeling confident. Then by all means, skip it. You can come back and try again next year," Ibiki says laughing once more.

"Now then, if you're ready. The 10th and final question. Those who don't want to take it, raise your hand. Your number will be recorded and your free to go," Ibiki says. Ayame looks around wondering what they should do. If any of them fail to answer this question they'll never be able to take the chunin exams ever again. However, if they quit now, they'll skull have a chance next year.

Ayame looks forward to where Naruto is seated. She bites her lip wondering what he's thinking. Was he maybe thinking of giving up?

The guy sitting next to Naruto raises his hand. "Number 50 fail. 130. 110. That means you're out to," a sentinel says.

The guy apologizes to his team-mates and they walk out of the room.

More ninjas start raising their hands and they leave. Ayame started to feel overwhelmed by this. She knew she could answer the question no matter what it is but unfortunately she doesn't know if Naruto could.

Ayame sees Sakura about to raise her hand but Naruto beats her to it. He looks up before slamming his hand in the desk.

"Don't underestimate me! I don't quit
and I don't run. You can act tough all you want. You guys aren't going to scare me off. No way! I don't care if I do get stuck as a genin for the rest of my life. I'll still be hokage someday!" Naruto exclaims which made Ayame smile.
