When the four rookies made it into the room where everyone else was they were surprised to see how many had made it out. They all made their way to stand in a row. They were all facing Anko-senseu and Lord Hokage. Behind them the villages Chunin and Jonin were lined up.

Ayame saw Kakashi-sensei and Misra-sensei. She noticed Sadako-sensei there as well. Her gaze moved to Sasuke to see that he had already seen her. Would he tell his sister about what happened in the forest or will he keep it to himself?

“First of all, congratulations on finishing the first exam,” Anko-sensei said to the genin.

“Hey look, all the leaf village rookies are here,” Sakura said. Ayame looked to her side and she smiled when she made eye contact with Shikamaru. He made it as well.

“Woah, everybody's here. Old man hokage, Iruka-sensei, Aunt Misra and even Bushy brow. It looks like absoulety nobody left got left out this time,” Naruto said.

“I don't have a good feeling about this,” Sasuke said as he places his hand on top of his mark. He looked over at the jonin and Sadako raised her brow as she stared at her younger brother which caused him to tense up. She gave him a small smile and he relaxed. She maybe does not know about the curse mark.

“It's hard to belive there's so many left after the second test and so many of them are rookies,” Sakura said. Ayame was surprised the ten rookies were able to make it. No one believed in them and somehow all of them made it.

“All right, now pay attention. Lord Hokage is going to explain the third exam to you.  You better listen carefully maggots,” Anko-sensei told them before she turned tk Lord Third. “Lord Hokage, they're all yours.”

Lord hokage nodded and walked forward before he cleared his throat.
“First, before I tell you what the third exam is, I want to explain about the test itself. Listen closely now. It's something all of you need to understand.  I'm going to tell the true purpose of these exams,” Lord hokage said to them.

“Why do you suppose our country holds these exams in junction with our allies? To raise the ability levels of the shinobi and increase friendship between alied nations, to be sure. But it's important that you understand its true meaning. The exams are so to speak,” Lord hokage explained to them.

“So to speak?”

“There the representation of battle between Allied Nations,” Lord hokage continued on.

“And what's that supposed to mean?”

“Well, if we look at our history, all the countries that we are currently allied with were once neighborhoods nations that continuously fought with each other for power. In order to avoid destroying each others military strengths meaningless, the chunin selection exams originally began,” Lord hokage explained further.

“Well, that's great. But why do we have to go through these exams again? I mean, it's not like we're doing this to pick chunin to go fight,” Naruto said to the Third. Ayame nodded. Naruto did have a point there

“Well actually, there is no question that part of the point of these exams is to select shinobi worthy of becoming chunin, that's not the whole story. These exams also allow for a place where shinobi can carry the pride of their nation on their backs and fight against other ninjas for their lives,» Lord hokages added.

“The pride of their nation?”

“Many leaders and people from various countries are invited to attend this exam as guests and also to possibly seek shinobi to work for them. This exam could determine the course of your ninja work from here on out. And more importantly, these rulers will watch your battles and take notes of the strengths that each ninja and each nation are developing.  If there is a gap in power between the countries, the strong nations are innovated with job requests for there ninjas and conversely, the request to countries that are deemed weak. Therefore, the stronger our nation is, the better our position is when negotiating with neighboring countries. So it's important to show how much military strength our village has.”
