Chapter 35: Serene night, lovely night

January 22nd, 2020. 19 o'clock, GMT+7, Southeast Asia, Bangkok, Thailand.

There were sounds of guitar in Zon and Saifah's room. Zon was playing guitar on the bed with Saifah sitting next to him.

"Playing guitar is difficult." Saifah said to Zon.

Zon played a tune for Saifah, the sound was deafeningly but at least Zon could make a decent series of sounds.

"That's only at the beginner level." Zon was confused.

Saifah played the guitar. Zon could hear Saifah's smooth guitar music and was amazed with his skills.

"Not too bad, though." Zon nodded with a dull face.

"Smile." Saifah made a smile on Zon's face.

Then Saifah imitates the cat's voice, making a pet of himself in front of Zon, making Zon shy and confused.

"You're a big kitty." Zon exclaimed as Saifah climbed onto his body.

At the same time in the gay bar, Tharn, Type, Arthit, Kongpop, Korn, Knock, Pete (not Pete Pichaya), Kao were hanging out together. The bar was crowded with people, in spite of the emerging uproars of Covid-19 (nCoV-2019, new Corona Virus strain 2019).

"I wonder if the virus goes out of control, we don't think we'll be safe. At least from today (January 22nd, 2020) onwards." Knock said to Korn.

"Oh dear, we only hear that recently, from Wuhan of China. This location is said to be the starting point of the epidemic." Korn was worried.

"We haven't known anything about that. Anyway, the spring time in 2020 is rather dangerous, because there are lots of harmful germs floating around the already cold and humid air. We can easily get sick." Arthit said.

"I can foresee things that will take place in the near future, at least from one month onwards. The corona virus of nCoV-2019 strain will be more likely to spread worldwide. Also, health departments have placed warnings everywhere since the initial outbreak." Kongpop said.

"Just hope that there won't be any chaos as seen in disaster movies." Type said.

"You seem to be interested in news, Type." Tharn said to Type.

"Health is the top priority." Kao said.

"Right." Pete replied.

At the same night.

"Let's play blackjack." Techno, Kengkla, Ae, Tin, and Can were all saying together in Tin's bedroom.

"Hey, we think there will be new dramatic events from today." Tum entered the room.

"What? What did you say? The corona virus disease?" Techno asked.

"Yes, I heard the radio said so." Tum said seriously.

"So what should we do?" Techno paled in fear.

"Let's just follow the health ministry's recommendations." Tum replied.

"Wash your hands before and after eating, drinking enough water, eating healthy, exercising, avoiding going out in public, wearing masks when interacting with people who have the flu, and other things." Tin said.

"Indeed." Can said.

February 21st, 2020. 16 o'clock, GMT+7, Southeast Asia, Bangkok, Thailand.

One month had passed. The news regarding to Covid-19 epidemic were booming alongside the numbers of infected cases worldwide. Everything was under a heavy cloud of dread and panic. There were 2 reported cases of fatalities caused by Covid-19 in South Korea on February 21st 2020. In Vietnam at the same time, there were 16 recorded cases of infection, all of which were fully cured and recovered and no case of fatality was recorded. In Japan, two tourists aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship died from infection of the Covid-19 virus, the Japanese cruise ship is believed to be a major outbreak site outside of Chinese waters. However, Japan didn't want to cancel the 2020 Olympics Games, which was going to take place in its capital city Tokyo.
