Am seated next to a weird ass man who keeps bugging me with questions about Africa and why am black or how it feels like to be black...am relieved when when we Finally arrive at our destination.....we all alight after taking a few orders from the air hostess...God! It really is a breathtakingly beautiful place...am amazed and I start to wonder looking at every incredible thing I could lay my eyes on.

"a male voice startles me and when I look down books are spilled everywhere on the floor."am so sorry I.....aammm....am sorry I should've been more careful"i notice a tall figure with Hazel eyes and well built guy he has an American accent and very good looking.

"I bet it's a black rat from Africa who's never been here before"a blonde girl spits looking down at me with hatred in her eyes....they both laugh and pick the books before leaving.

I feel a rage inside me and I might as well have caused a scene if my mother's words didn't ring in my mind"Be at your best behavior Mia"

I let it slide.how could a very good looking guy like that have any ugly personality I thought to myself angrily I calm myself down so I could be able to think properly...

.i call my cousin who was supposed to pick me up luckily she arrives earlier than expected and am relieved to get out there before the" dog "decides to come back.....my cousin Katie arrives with a few other friends...after a quick introduction we leave for her room back in Campus and luckily she becomes my roommate.

When we arrive at the dorms....am surprised at how beautiful they look I did not expect much but it still looked okay.....
It is almost 7pm as I take a shower as Katie says she would spend the night with her boyfriend.I feel a little awkward being away from home but I'd do just fine.I look at my phone and moms text"Nice first day Honey "I close my eyes and sleep.
