She stared into the mirror. Through the cracked,spotted surface,she could see her reflection looking back at her with lips slightly parted, the rest of her face unreadable. There was her lank brown hair lying flat against her head in the boring way it had ,and her heart shaped face slightly blotched from the cold,as well as her worn green sweater that made her look dumpy and short.

"it's time to go sweetie "sister Florence says slightly in a gentle voice that almost doesn't want to annoy her.

"Be right there sister "<"sister " a Catholic nun >.

She looks at herself in the mirror one last time and leaves hurriedly.
She is met with new faces. A middle aged woman with a round face ,blue orbs and blonde hair and a man who she supposed was her husband.... Also not old.

"How are you dear..i hope you like us already. "The man says in an articulate English accent. The man has a full beard. Sharp precise lines graze his cheekbones and his jaw line is covered in dark hair.

"Hi! My name is Alexa ..."she finally masters the courage to speak. "I don't have a second name or maybe I do but I would only know if I had parents....well... That's not your worry sorry... "she rolls her eyes painfully."As sister Florence prolly told you I was given to parents but I ran away I didn't like it there. They lived in a mansion and am poor... Well..... Besides the lady of the house being such a creep"she rolls her eyes again. "oh and one more thing...
I'm depressed "She sighs a little when sister Florence gave her look that said "why add that you are depressed ".
She ignored it of course.

"I promise that we'll take good care of you.... You'll go to school and you'll be our only child because we don't have any kids....you won't ran away dear I'll make sure to make you comfortable. "Mrs Nyakaraja who was to be her new mom said and they both hugged her tightly and she hugged sister Florence and left with them to her new house.
