"So what happened at the U.A enterance exam?" A bright and bubbly voice enquires as I have my headphones on in my room, recovering from the exam.

My everything still hurts and if I stand up for too long the world starts to engulf me but other than that I'm fine.

"Nothing much, there were a bunch of robots, I defeated a few and then was kissed by an old woman and told to return home and wait for my results." I state simply, not seeing the need to explain everything.

It was quite strange, lying on the floor and then getting kissed. Wet and uncomfortable.
I hate any type of contact, never mind slightly romantic.

Thankfully the person on the other end of the line doesn't continue on and instead jumps to a different topic.

"Hey, you know how my birthday's coming up right?" She asks and I nod before muttering a yes, making her continue, "Well my mum wanted to ask you if you would like to come to The Track with me? As a sort-of party?"

I open my mouth to answer but close it again, taking a moment to fully process this invitation.
The Track is a private area that the support pro-hero: Sunshine co-owns and uses to train sidekicks under her agency with co-owner and husband Kotai Suru or better known as pro-hero: Fall hero, Downfall.
They're very serious with taking on sidekicks and in the fifteen years I've known about the agency have only had five sidekicks.

I slowly draw in air and pick up my phone, turning it on and switching the call to a video call before smiling at the face of my best friend.

"Yes! We'll train together and you can see some new tricks I've worked out!" I excitedly state, seeing the insanely bright smile grown on my friends face.

The friend I love.
Her name is Nikko Yoza and she is the daughter of Sunshine and Downfall.
Her quirk is very similar to her mother's, 'Sunshine', but Nikko calls hers 'Sunray' because she can not just absorb the sunlight to gain power and energy but move it, harden it, blast it, consentrate it, use it to heal people and become invisable.

She has a habit of being an air head and often forgets many things but her heart shines as brightly and purely as the sun.
She looks and sounds very similar to her mother, with golden hair, sky blue eyes, a small and thin frame and flawless pink skin.
She's like a fae and angel come to life.

She didn't apply to U.A's hero course despite her amazing quirk because she doesn't think she's powerful enough or smart enough.
She has dyslexia and her parents are happy enough with her just going to the support class in U.A since she loves making outfits and gadgets.

"Okay so I'll send you a like to the code in a second and the date and how long so you can check with your mum but I can't wait!" She quickly says, her blue eyes sparkling like a disney princess.

I smile and stay silent, thinking how lucky I am to have such an amazing person in my life.
I really do love her with all my heart. She brings beauty and light to my once dull life.
She really earns the name 'Sunshine'.
That hero name will be passed onto her once her mother retires and I couldn't be more happy.
The world needs more people like her.

I sigh and shake my head.
I may be hopelessly in love but that doesn't need to effect her, she never needs to know.

"Okay. So-" I start but a loud thump of a letter distracts me and I pause for a second, leading Yoza to ask what's up.

"A letter just came...in the middle of the day..." I state, narrowing my eyes and thinking as I move to pick up the letter.

"I bet it's from U.A! I got mine this morning! I'm in!" Yoza screams and giggles, like a hyperactive ten year old in the body of a teenager.

I raise my brow at her as I take the letter back to my room.

"I wanted to suprise you with it when we were about to end the call but...I couldn't do it. You know I can't keep anything from you!" She jokes and makes me smile, you wouldn't know it when I'm around her but I actually have a bored and serious disposition.

"Okay well shall we look at this letter then?" I ask her as I flip the camera to front facing and let her see the letter.

"Yeah!" She shouts, pumping her fist in the air before doing a double take and looking at the letter again.

"Hold on...Why is it adressed to 'Tomashi Fukusha'?" Nikko questions with a slight tilt of her head, making her hair fall to one side and make her look like a puppy.

"Because that's my real name you doof!" I tell her with a laugh.

This makes her do a spit take and say what multiple times.

"Hold on! What!? Why did you never tell me?" She practically screams at me through her phone.

I shrug and brush it off, use to her by now.

"It never came up. Plus I like Alex better, adds a real normality to life."

She shakes her head and I laugh at her. It's what friends are for.

"I'm going to call you Tomashi now." She mutters before telling me to continue with opening the letter.
I nod and smile, she can't see it but I'm actually okay with her calling me my real name, it sounds nice coming from her.

I slowly open the letter as it's hard to open a letter with one hand but eventually I manage it, sliding out a piece of paper with a disk on top.

"I wonder what that's for?" Nikko asks, the disk opening up and projecting an image of All Might as she does, making her scream and fall off her bed.

I laugh but try to shush my phone as I see what projection All Might has to say.

"Hello Tomashi Fukusha. In the practical exam you scored thirty three points in combat and twenty five in rescue, leaving you with a total of fifty eight points. This is an amazing score but your above average eighty two on the written exam also made sure you succeeded in being allowed to be in U.A in class 1.A.
Welcome Tomashi Fukusha to U.A." All Might finishes and I hear more screaming and crying from the other side of my phone as my friend congradulates me and says how lucky I am.

"Dude, you could have got in to if you had just tried the exam." I tell her but my words fall on deaf ears as she says she has to end the call to tell her parents.

I say that's okay as the call ends and I make up my mind to never tell my mum. Shd'd just put pressure on me.
