Tonight is the night.
It's been two official days since Tom burst into my room and finally he's invited me to go on hero-duty with him.

It's cold and wet but I don't care, Tom's rarely a social person so this is an amazing oppotunity.

"So what have we got on the list tonight?" I ask with probably too much excitement judging by his discontent look. The shadows falling around us frame his discontent glare, the image of a moidy anti-hero coming to mind.

"Patrol, look for any crime. This street is know for drug dealers." He states as if that's something normal. This street is an hour from the center of the city, what the heck!?

"Why haven't heroes done somethjlung?" I ask him and Tom motions for me to stop and be silent. We're hidden in the shadows of the night as I spot the reason behind his nonverbal recommendation, two people with their hoods up and masks on. They're talking in a low whisper and holding pouches of stuff.

"A hero is doing something." Tom growls as he flicks his wrist as he glares at the two shady customers and they float upwards as if gravity no longer exists for them.
Tom then swiftly sprints forward and handcuffs the two together as they float, making sure they don't escape too soon.

As he is doing this I watch, maybe it might be useful to do this more often, get some experience.
As I watch Tom go about his casual tying up I watch as a red dot appears and the dissappears.
Realising what just happened I sprint forward to move Tom but I know I'm not going to reach him in time so instead decide to grab the almost tied up criminals and put them on a lamp post.

As Tom recovers from the bullet and I finish making sure the criminals don't escape Tom manages to glare at me and huff, "You couldn't have stopped the bullet? You had time to stop the criminals floating off!"

"It was too late for you, I thought I might as well save the one thing that matters." I tease and help him up, taking the bullet out and healing the wound. (It's amazing what copying powers can do, especially simple ones like control over metal and simple healing.)

"Plus I thought you could stop bullets." I state matter-of-factly as Tom glares up at a figure above us. Considering it's the middle of the night and the figure's very well hidden I have to wonder when did my brother become soo good at his job, how did he even spot that person?

Before I can fully consider this though Tom's facing me, holding the back of the neck of a person and the figure on top of the rooftop is gone, making me jump.

"I told you never to do that!" I shout at him, ignoring the person he's captured. He stares at me with a 'really' look before I shrug and freeze the person's feet to the ground, making Thomas jump back and stare at me again. Only this time it seems like he's suprised.

"You know he's probably never going to be able to move his feet again, right? He has frostbite now." Tom states as I try and reason with him, explaining that he can't escape now so he's welcome.

Tom shakes his head before taking out his phone. We didn't get to do any fighting but I still think this was nice.

"Hello, we're located here and have three criminals ready to be picked up. One has extreme frostbite on their feet, bring an ambulance." Tom states and sighs at me, it's not my fault if I REALLY don't want criminals to run away. Tom knows this, I've stated multiple times that I would always target the legs after taking a criminl down, to stop them escaping.

"You're lucky this is your first time or I would have seriously flipped out." Tom scoulds me and I accept that maybe disabling a person for life wasn't a good choice.

"Fair enough. Next time I'll just shoot his knee or something." I joke but make Tom glare as we leave the criminals to be dealt with by the police as we hear sirens in the distance. Technically we are criminals ourselves as we both don't have licenses so can't stick around for the police too many times but we still do good in my opinion.
