You and Betty have been friends since diapers. It's your senior year of high school and you get accepted into London Metropolitan University (LMU), an elite university, meaning that you will have to move to the U.K. This is Betty's reaction when you tell her the news.

*You grab your coat that was hanging up by the front door of your house*
Your Mom: (Standing by the kitchen) Y/N, where are you going? I thought we were gonna celebrate?
You: (Puts her coat on) We will, Mom. I just need to tell Betty first. She's my best friend, you know?
Your Mom: (Smiling) Well while you're out, can you grab us some burger meals from Pop's? Your Father won't shut up about the new chilli fries they're selling.
Your Dad: (Shouts from the living room) They are to die for, Y/N! Trust me!
You: (Laughs) I can't wait to try them, Dad!
*You say your quick goodbyes to Mom and Dad and you grab your bike and cycle up to Pop's. You knew that Betty was there working on some charity event for Riverdale High*
*You leave your bike by the door and walk into the diner to see Betty and Veronica sitting at the counter drinking milkshakes*
*You walk over to them, beaming. They both smile at your presence*
Veronica: (Smiling) Y/N! If I knew you were coming, I would've ordered you a milkshake too.
You: Oh don't worry, Veronica. I'm not staying long. Can I talk to Betty for a second?
Veronica: (Stands up from her seat) Of course! She's all yours. I'll be over by that booth if you need me.
*You watch Veronica walk over to a booth that Cheryl and Toni are sitting in and she sits by them*
*Betty turned to you, quite confused*
Betty: Y/N, is everything okay?
You: (Smiling) Everything is fine. In fact, it's more than fine!
*You reach over and grasp onto Betty's hands. She is still confused but slightly excited by what your news will be about*
You: (Squealing with happiness) I got into LMU!
Betty: (Gasps and covers her mouth with her hands) Oh my god! Really?!
*You nod*
*Betty pulls you into a huge bear hug, squeezing you ever so tightly*
You: (Pulling away from the hug) My acceptance letter came about an hour ago. I knew I had to tell you the minute I found out.
Betty: (Beaming) You're going to England!
You: (Excited) I know! I'm so excited to start fresh in a whole new part of the world!
*Betty's huge grin turns to a slight frown suddenly*
Betty: I'm gonna miss you so much...It's just gonna be super weird not seeing you everyday...We are so close, I don't want anyone replacing our friendship when you're away-
You: (Shakes head) No no no, that would never happen. Why would you think that, Betts?
Betty: (Starts to tear up) Because we will be thousands of miles apart...
You: (Also starts to tear up) Don't cry, you'll make me cry!
*You and Betty hug again, letting out small sobs on each other's shoulders*
*You both pull away, smiling*
You: Well, we have about four months left together...let's make these months the best of our lives!
Betty: (Smiling again) Yeah! We can have slumber parties!
You: (Excited) And shopping sprees!
Betty: (Nodding, also excited) We can even go on a small road trip at the start of summer before you leave!
You: (Nods over towards Veronica) We can even bring Ronnie, Archie and Jughead too!
