Spoilers/Timeline: Post Season 7 of BtVS; post Season 8 of Charmed (AU most definitely)
Summary: Whether Faith likes it or not, she's stuck with a guardian angel...
Author's Note: Again this one-shot was written way back in 2007, but prior to my uploading this story here, I made some revisions.

II. Guarding Faith
CHRIS ORBED IN TO THE Slayer's bedroom at the Manor. She was staying with the Charmed Ones for the time being to help get rid of some demons that crawled out of the woodwork since Sunnydale was wiped out.
"Faith," Chris quietly approached the Slayer whose back was turned to him and touched her shoulder.
Faith jumped at the unexpected touch and on instinct she grabbed the intruder's wrist on her shoulder and twisted it. She turned around to face the intruder and twisted his arm as well in the process. She was shocked to see Chris -- the part-witch, part-Whitelighter son of the eldest Charmed sister -- in pain and quickly let go of his arm.
"Dammit, Chris! How many times have I told you not to sneak up on me?" she scolded.
Chris stepped away from the Slayer nursing his twisted arm. He mentally kicked himself for forgetting she was a deadly assassin -- humans, demons, and Whitelighters alike are no match to her when they sneak up on her or piss her off.
"Sorry," Chris apologized and walked up to the armchair set by the window in her room. He continued rubbing his wrist, reminding himself to ask Leo to heal him since he hadn't mastered the healing part of his Whitelighter side. "And I orbed in," he pointed out to her. "It's kinda hard to hide my orbing in when I'm surrounded by those dang blasted bluish-white lights!"
True, but Faith wasn't paying attention to her surrounding. She must've noticed that her room suddenly became brighter than normal, but she was lost in her thoughts to pay any attention to it. She saw him rubbing his sore arm and that annoying feeling called guilt kicked in. She didn't mean to hurt him even though he asked for it by sneaking up on her, but still she was partly to blame for nearly ripping the guy's arm off because she wasn't fully in tuned with her surrounding.
Faith crossed the room and crouched down in front of Chris. She grabbed his sore arm and cocked an eyebrow when she saw him flinch.
"Look, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm just going to massage it for you since I'm to blame for you nearly getting your arm ripped off," she said matter-of-factly. She wasn't really big on apologizing, and doing this was as close to her making it up to him. "What are you doing in my room anyway?" she asked after she started massaging his arm.
Chris watched as Faith massaged his arm with great care. He thought her touch with be hard and rough, but it was the exact opposite. Despite of her rugged appearance, Faith sure has a soft touch.
"Chris?" Faith tugged at his arm gently to get his attention.
"Huh?"
Faith rolled her eyes skyward and dropped his arm. She walked back to her bed and sat down. "I asked you why you are in my room."
"Oh, that," he nodded. Why was he here anyway? He knew he came here with a purpose, but after Faith massaged his arm, he lost his train of thoughts.
"Look, I'm tired. Unless you want to give me a nightcap, I suggest you leave my room the same way you came in, alright?" Faith got up and turned her back to Chris. She grabbed the ends of her top and pulled it up and over her head, exposing her bra-clad upper body. She turned around to face an embarrassed Chris. Faith smirked as she watched him try and avoid looking at her.
Chris pushed himself off the chair and without meeting the Slayer's gaze he orbed out, muttering a hasty good night before he disappeared. It was only after he appeared on the other side of Faith's closed bedroom door that he remembered what he came to see her for: his aunts and mother just told him to let Faith know he'd be backing her up during her nightly patrol in search of the demon she was tracking.
Should he dare go back in and disturb the feisty Slayer?
