Three - Fireproof

"Fire!" A very familiar, heavy Irish accent shouted playfully into the room, obviously stifling a laugh. Before I could register what was happening, I saw three young men follow behind him with enormous water guns, squirting water everywhere with reckless abandon.

I screamed in excitement and surprise as I jumped up from where I was sitting on my tape square, running for the other door. My bandmates were right behind me. Alfie repeatedly yelled "No no no no no!", as he sprinted ahead of me covering his hair with his arms. I laughed hard but continued running, finally  ducking into the dining room at the end of the hallway with Mark.
Mark continued to run past me while I hid next to the door, waiting for the other band to follow us in. I giggled when I saw a very tall, lanky man sprint in and stop, looking around for his target. Just as Harry was about to turn around and blast me, I hopped on his back in a playful manner. He dropped the water gun and caught me in a piggy-back, laughing whole-heartedly.

"Ride, noble stead!" I giggled back when he handed me the water gun from the floor while still carrying me on his back. He then took off running toward the rest of his band as I clung on to his back. A few long strides down the hallway, we found Liam and Louis destroying Jack with their super-soakers, all three of them laughing gleefully. I whistled loud to get their attention.

"Game Over, boys!" I pointed my water gun at Liam and Louis and begun soaking the both of them. They turned away from firing at Jack and aimed at myself and Harry instead. All five of us were soaked through and through in seconds. Another fit of laughter could be heard behind us when we all finally ran out of water. Niall and a sopping wet Alfie walked up behind us. Niall had been the only one to escape the soaking. Harry let me down from his back and we must have both had the same idea, because we simultaneously launched toward Niall to hug him and get him just as wet as  everyone else.

It was only when I pulled away from Niall and Harry that I realized I was in the middle of Wet T-Shirt Contest with seven young, largely attractive men and I was wearing a white shirt with a hot pink bra underneath. I felt an uncomfortable stare and I chose to ignore it, crossing my arms over my chest to try and cover myself up a bit, really to no avail.

Alfie's eyes locked with mine for only a second before instantly going right back to scanning my body. I felt extremely exposed and my ears and cheeks burned.

Louis was the next to die down his laughter from the banterous activity and he noticed I was covered my chest. His eyes softened and he quickly shed his black zip-up hoodie without a second thought, wrapping it around me gently. It was cold and wet, but it was at least covering my breasts. The look in his eyes was protective and caring, but I couldn't distinguish the source. He had lots of little sisters, so I guess his reaction was coming from that.

I was disappointed at the thought of him seeing me as another little sister figure. I had a massive crush on Louis since I was a little kid and I always dreamed of getting him to fall for me. Now that we worked together though, that dream was largely squashed. I can't date a guy on the tour, if anything went wrong my career would be ruined.

Sure there was a bit of an age gap, nearly eight years, but he was about as mature as a normal 21 year old guy aside from having a four-year-old son. All of the boys from One Direction seemed to be a little immature for their ages, but that was to be expected since they spent five years of their lives on tour and were ripped away from "normal life" at 18 for Louis, 17 for Liam, Niall, and Zayn, and as young as 16 for Harry.  The only guy on tour that seemed to have any romantic, or rather sexual interest in me seemed to be Alfie. I didn't appreciate how he looked at me, like I was a piece of meat or a doll.

Once the boys and I had all changed into some dry clothing, we all met back in the dining hall for dinner. I wasn't all that hungry, so I stuck to a salad with some grilled chicken for protein. I was going to sit with my band but I saw that their table was full. One Direction's band was sitting with them and they all seemed to be having a good time. I didn't want to interrupt them,so I looked around and found an empty table to sit at, but I was quickly followed by Liam Payne to my left. His three bandmates were fast to follow him. Harry and Niall sat across from us and Louis sat to my right.

"So, first day on tour, how does it feel?" Harry smiled wide at me as he dug his fork into his food.

"Entertaining." I giggled, remembering my piggy-back ride and the water gun fight. "Are you guys always this crazy? I thought maybe you had only been like this while the cameras were on you while they were filming the movie?"

"I'd say its about 50-50." Louis smirked, lightly elbowing my side before taking a bite from his fork. "We do try to get work done, but we get bored easily."

"Especially during choreo." Niall laughed between bites of his dinner, his mouth still full of food.

"Especially during choreo," Liam echoed, nodding and chuckling.

"We're much worse during concerts, but I'm sure you already knew that." Louis winked at me, knowingly. I felt my ears and cheeks heat up for the second time today.

"I actually never got to see you guys live." I laughed nervously. "Only the movies and on youtube."

"Wait what?" Harry spit it out his water with a cough as he took a sip. "You never went to a concert? I though you were a fan?"

"Its not that I didn't want to," I looked down at my hands, twiddling my fingers as my cheeks burned hot. "I even had tickets a couple times, it just never worked out." I half-smiled, remembering how I had gone to band competitions and academic conferences instead. I thought my education was going to define my life, and up until a year ago, it did.

"Well, that settles it, you're going to have the best seat in the house for the first concert." Louis patted my thigh in a friendly manner. I didn't even flinch, I invited the light touches. "But I have to perform, and then Thomas would never let me-" Harry stopped me raising his hand up.

"We'll keep you on stage, love." He smirked cheekily before glancing over to Louis beside me. His low voice perking up in amusement. "You can take a break after your set and then come back out on the stage and sit on one of the platforms."

"I'm sure the fans will go nuts." Niall chuckled and winked comically, knowing it would make me blush even more. "They'll be jealous of such a pretty girl on stage."

I gulped heavily before speaking. "Oh um, maybe not the first concert. I'll be too nervous." I tried desperately to remove myself from the  situation where I was blushing like a school girl in front of my idols. I stood up abruptly, earning concerned stares from everyone at the table. "I'm gonna go warm up for rehearsal." The excuse was lousy, but it seemed to work for now. I picked up my plate, throwing it away and quickly making my way to the inner part of the arena where the stage was, thankful to finally be alone for a moment.
